[0:00] Let us commence our worship this morning with hymn number 795, Tunis Palestrina 605. [0:11] Mighty enemies without, much mightier within. For sweeten up, quail or out, blasphemously obscene, coldness, unbelief and pride, Helen always murderous praying, threaten death on every side, and have their thousands slain. Thus pursued and thus distressed. How whither shall we fly to obtain the promised rest? On what sure hand rely? [0:51] Shall the Christian trust his heart, that alas of folks the worst, always takes the tempter's part, nay, often tempt him first. [1:11] 795. 595. [1:28] Mighty air, which we love, much mightier within. [1:42] Thank you. [2:12] tip ol' ol' ol' ol' ol' ol' ol' ol' The spirit of the sea swears Up with the child we die To obtain the royal restraint Nor not your heavenly eye [3:20] Till the greatest gentler's return Let our rest of the earth The great saints have never died Then the authentic first The [4:22] A trodness, rest, and prayer To our help and every day If we have healing arise Faithfulness is not alone We have faith, Lord, in our life To change the children's world We have faith, Lord, in our life [5:26] The Lord, in our life That God He can't be good When He does need any grace Then there was a change of heart Make greater than all heavens Christ has given with His heart Let us live here in the eternal [6:27] O dearly child of Christ Amen We read this morning from the first epistle of Peter and chapter 1 First chapter from the first epistle of Peter Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ To the strangers scattered To Epontis To Asia Tappadocia Tappadocia Asia And Bithynia Elect according to foreknowledge of God the Father Through sanctification of the Spirit And the Lord Unto obedience and strength Of the blood of Jesus Christ Grace unto you And peace be multiplied [7:29] Blessed be the God and Father Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ Which according to His abundant mercy Hath become in us again Unto a lively hope By the resurrection Of Jesus Christ from the dead To an inheritance Interruptible And undefiled And that faith is not away Preserved in heaven for you Who are kept by the power of God Through faith unto salvation Will it be revealed in the last time For in ye greatly rejoice though now for a season If need be ye are in heaviness Through manifold temptations With the trial of your faith being much more precious Than the gold that perisheth Though it be tried with fire Might be found under praise and honour [8:32] And glory At the appearing of Jesus Christ But having not the scene that ye love In whom though now ye see him not Yet believing You rejoice with joy unspeakable And full of glory Receive in the end of your faith Even the salvation of your souls Of which salvation the prophets have Inquired and searched diligently With prophesying the grace that should come unto you Searching what or what manner of time The spirit of Christ which was in them Did signify when it testified beforehand The sufferings of Christ And the glory that should follow Unto whom it was revealed that not unto themselves But unto us they administer the things Which are now reported unto you by them [9:35] That have preached the gospel unto you That the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven Which things the angels desire to look into Wherefore gird up the loins of your minds Be sober and hope to the end for the praise That is to be brought unto you Of the revelation of Jesus Christ As there have been in children Not fashioning yourselves According to the former lusts And your englands For as he which hath called you is holy So be ye holy in all manner of conversation Because it is written Be ye holy for I am holy And if ye call on the Father Who without respect of persons Judgeth according to every man's work Past the time of your sojourning here [10:36] In fear For as much as you know That ye were not redeemed With corruptible things As silver and gold From your vain conversation Received by tradition from your fathers But with the precious blood of Christ As of a lamb without blemish And without spot Who verily was foreordained Before the foundation of the world That was manifest In these last times for you Who by him do believe in God That raised him up from the dead And gave him glory That your faith and hope Might be in God Seeing ye have purified your souls In obeying the truth Through the spirit Unto unfeigned love of the brethren See that ye have one Love one another With a pure heart Fervently [11:37] Being born again Not of corruptible seed But of incorruptible By the word of God Which live it and abide it for ever For all flesh is as glass And all the glory of man As the flower of grass The grass weathereth And the flower thereof It falleth away But the word of the Lord Endureth for ever And this is the word Which by the gospel Is preached Unto you May the Lord bless the reading of this word Help us in prayer Oh gracious God We do thank the Lord For the language of Peter Under the influence of the spirit And we would seek that grace Lord To be holy And we have to realize all that In our nature We cannot be holy But only by the word of the news [12:39] Or of the spirit of truth Through the truth Of the new birth upon us To be quickened by the spirit That we might be Interested in sin And still we are sinners in our soul Lord This body of sin and death That we carry with us That may it be Lord The temple Of the Holy Ghost By reason that's called by grace And so we come before this Lord And we thank the heart We come with birth and souls Because Lord We know that we have the trial of faith We know that we have those things in our lives That are burned to us They are offspring And our Lord In some days Offspring is offspring As we look upon Lord Those that turn their backs upon the truth And what a burden that is Lord To thy people That have been quickened by the spirit [13:40] And so Lord We will commit Lord The under-generate In family circles And Lord And we all have them And they are a burden for us And we wake upon thee Lord To be so pleased that they might yet prove to be chosen vessels And shall be Of found having their pathway sanctified to them To begin to be one To the knowledge of Christ And shall be so pleased that they might Lord Is there anything too hard for thee to build up the broken walls of Jerusalem I would do it right to hear that Lord And we do pray that Even under our own groups in some cases Lord To deny the The forsaken me For the perishing things of this world Oh For we have to realise We carry about the body of sin and death We are calmly minded And we need the very spirit of truth [14:41] To lift up the light of his countenance upon those That lure them to the bone of our bone And the flesh of our flesh And Seem to manage Lord For life and outdo Until they come to the end And oh Soren Lord To have an end Without the work of grace being begun in our hearts And we have to ponder Lord Why were we here Why were we made to hear thy voice Why were we brought Lord To love the truth as it is in Jesus And still Lord We have those doubts and their fears in our minds As we've been singing this morning And so we do pray Lord for thy grace To confirm their souls And Lord We have reached all thine hearts And sent out Lord We do pray to the angels of life Let your quicken souls And make them cry Give me Christ or else I die We've all had those Lord [15:43] I believe here today We've all had those who have us Have those who are all connected with us With the ties of nature And they will not believe And lest God Give them a new heart Lord Oh we need much prayer Spirit of prayer Grace, supplication But they will yet Lord Build again these broken walls They will preenciles and And cause them Lord To have a real humble thirst For the righteousness of God And blood that we've been reeding of this morning That cleanseth them all sin Oh Lord They will not have mercy Upon this guilty land and nation Lord With the denial We've gone around seeking Lord To backings In due time From the votes Lord Of the people Oh Lord We do pray that they will fly out the fires and the cellars Though it draws Lord yet again [16:45] Those who are in enmity to the truth May be brought Lord To cry unto thee for mercy The eyes of understanding Enlightened Their ears unstopped And the saints might sink down of Jesus into their hearts And pause the Lord To truly Have some desire in their souls To see Jesus For is anything too heartily Dear Lord in mercy Bless our elderly friends We hear a wind in hospital Lord again And we do pray for those who are good age That he might know what it is To know real repentance And godly sorrow for sin Which he might have a real hunger and thirst If I want you to be prepared Which can't be many years Lord hence For there is that call to the judge and seek And do remember Lord Elaine too And do strengthen her Lord further [17:45] God What she has had to pass through Lord And do Lord remember and mercy in God A token of our love And do bless those around the Lord Even the grandchildren Lord And even the grandchildren Lord And even the grandchildren Lord And even the grandchildren And the offspring And Lord we look to the Lord To grant us stirring up In this dark war of sin and woe To seek the Lord while he may be found To call upon what is near For is anything too hard for me Lord And do Lord touch the parts of their leaders Lord That they are not just so interested Lord In getting into parliament again And the children of the grandchildren And the grandchildren of the offspring And the Lord will look to the Lord And the Lord will look to the Lord To grant us stirring up In this dark war of sin and woe To seek the Lord while he may be found To call upon what is near For is anything too hard for me Lord And do Lord touch the parts of their leaders Lord And they are not just so interested Lord In getting into parliament again But to be brought to seek the Lord And his wisdom from above To deal wisely in the affairs of this nation [18:48] To deliver us of those ungodly nations Lord That want to hang upon us as nations And make us Lord a nation that shall Follow the word of God In spite of those Lord That deny thee and defy thee And not have thee the right over them And not have the bible in the schools And the teaching Lord of the word of God All that has said state will be in Lord To deny thee and all that are able to come When thou have come to judge the world In righteousness Oh Lord do prevent Lord We do pray thee Do prevent Lord those with thee Underminers of the Christian marriage We do beg of thee Lord do rather make them to realise In the word of God And women and women Man and man Joined together Lord In the old days [19:49] Were sentenced to death For their sins Lord we do pray Have mercy upon these people That want to deny thy word When this is the word of the truth Lord And this is the word that will be applied to our souls As it has for many of us here Lord That they shall know the truth And the truth will make them free From the condemnation that they are presently in Condemnation Lord Because we do need that incorruptible word of life To be no sown in weakness Lord To be raised in their souls In spite of all our simpleness of body Lord that new heart Which will be made tender in my fear O Lord have mercy upon the young The rising days We do pray to [20:50] And do yet stir up people Lord that follow me In the audiences that I have For a dark world will end Lord A dark world Even those Lord that are known of truth And we do pray Lord that we live And raise up living witnesses To the wonders of our leading blood With anything too hard to do Lord have mercy upon the nation And we do pray then With our beloved wife Lord Who is forced to stay at home Lord Because of the manifested sins of another Of our lost and our lives Lord our Lord And not only that Lord Other friends here And see if only men of you They have those that would desire to To see Lord A heart A new heart given A change of heart We are here We are returning unto Zion's here Lord have mercy upon Zion [21:53] And do good us up again In our most holy day Bless the world that it might have pre-course This day I'll be glorified To thine honour Not to man's honour But to God's honour To his glory To all come and go Lord and the Bible And those Lord who are Deserfully born today As their time of worship comes round We bless thee for thy day Lord And much more Lord we do pray To increase our faith And their hope and their love To be the Lord Jesus Christ Who has done such great things for sinners That they might be redeemed from the curse of the Lord Hear us in these things then Lord And do take control of the affairs of this land And then my Lord I reveal the little In thine almighty power To put the hosts of hell to fly We commit thee to thee [22:55] We commit this nation to thee And ask them how they will depart their sin And Lord we ask them this for Christ's sake alone Amen Amen Let us further sing hymn 270 The tune is Deerhurst 633 Burn thy lines up Christian soldier Though the captain calls thee out Let the danger make thee bolder War and weakness bear in doubt Fuck along thy heavenly armour Bash up knowing glorious peace Let thy courage wax and warmer As thy foes and fears increase Blind thy golden girdle round thee Truth to keep thee firm and tied Never shall the foe confound thee [23:56] While the truth maintains thy fight Righteousness within thee rooted May appear to take thy path But let righteousness imputed Be the breastplate of the heart To 17 His 코 Lord, in greatness, lift me well. [25:14] And love of every color, That shall work in glorious peace. [25:33] Let thy courage wax the poor of earth, Let my heart and unity release. [25:54] Like thy golden turtle, Ramping at liberty's moment, Did I tell the world of fancy, while I'm in the days I fight? [26:35] My justice, we've been deeply prepared, may I be here to take thy part. [26:57] The righteousness, we've been deeply prepared, may I be here to take thy part. [27:19] The righteousness, we've been deeply prepared, may I be here to take thy part. [27:49] The righteousness, we've been deeply prepared, may I be here to take thy part. [28:19] The righteousness, we've been deeply prepared, may I be here to take thy part. The righteousness, we've been deeply prepared, may I be here to take thy part. [28:31] The righteousness, we've been deeply prepared, may I be here to take thy part. While they are, may I be here to take thy part. May I be here to take thy part. May I be here to take thy part. May I be here to take thy part. Bye-bye. [28:47] May I be here to take thy part. motivated and I'm wrong ... [29:11] ... ... Thank you. [29:50] Thank you. [30:20] Thank you. Thank you. [31:20] Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. [32:28] Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. [32:40] Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. [32:52] That you are not redeemed by it. by it. You'll be brought to feel, dear friends, that it is those incorruptible things that will exercise your sorrow. Yes, we will be exercised if we fear God. What thy hand finally could do, we are told, do it as unto the Lord. And we also read in the amongst the apostles, that my God, Peter's blood, the disciples' blood, shall supply all your need. Believe us, we trust in him, that are forced to the sinner's friend, for that help, and that help that is laid upon one that is mighty to save. We get into situations here below that cause us to cry unto him. For how much more shall we cry unto him for the redemption of our souls? [34:12] We know it's all appointed. For those that shall be saved and those that shall be lost. He knows those that shall be truly led by the Spirit, guided by the Spirit. And always we read about our Peter, and that our conversation should be holy. These things breed us, and show us how sure we've come in our warmth and our thunder. Though you felt the quickening influence of his grace, born again of the water and the Spirit, you want to know that you are not the burdened with corruptible things from your vain conversation. All the dangers of vain conversation, received by tradition from your fathers. But with the precious blood of God. What an attraction that will be to a newborn soul. He won't be going about, treating, making treasures in the bank, although there's an that he supplies your needs in that way. But you will have trials, you will have exercises, and primarily you will be concerned about the welfare of yourself. Look to God and fulfill more on the necessity of the work of race. The revelation of Jesus Christ and that the blessing of God, who was the blessing of God, who was the blessing of God, who was as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. The perfection of Christ in that shed of that atone blood that he shed for many, but not all. But all that the Father giveth me shall come to me, and him be cometh unto me, I will in no wise cast out of it. What a mercy. [36:23] So you are not redeemed, dear friends, for a corruptible thing. As I said, God supplies your needs. I will not be called to the riches in glory. But the riches in his glory is what we want to know about. [36:43] What a solid joy is, my feet, my feet, he said, I leave with you. Not a universal leaving, not a universal loving, but that change of heart. [36:57] The value, the invaluable blood you give from God. You can't put a price on it, can't you? The blood of Christ cleanseth of all sin. All sin. What? What? What? What? A lot of sin there is about it. Sins immense as is the sea, we read of. [37:17] Immense as the sea. Do you ever feel to be under that cloud, dear friend? Your sins immense as the sea? This blood can cleanse from all sin. Let's the shed of a spark upon your soul be found. [37:35] It takes the road the Saviour will cast it all around. His shed blood. Oh, what a mercy to know something of the reality that Christ is part of your sins. [37:51] Because you are precious. Because you cost him agony of salt. We read it, don't we? You bring in agony, pray more earnestly than yourself and mine. [38:07] If you are in the covenant, dear friends, we shall know that. Redeemed, dear friends. This corruption must put on incorruption. When we look around in the world, amongst the business world that we hear of, the corruption amongst men, the deceitfulness of men, trying, dear friends, to outwit his fellow-creatures, and does sometimes, committed to. [38:43] But what a mercy. You see, the love of money is the root of evil, which some have coveted after, have forsaken, dear friends, to their faith. [38:57] But what a mercy to know something of this redemption. And the nearer we get, the older we get, the more it'll be an exercise of your soul and mine. [39:11] There's no going back, dear friends, in the years that we've spent as a tale that is told. But it's looking to Jesus. And so whatever objects you and I have in life, and especially in younger years, and bearing the burden and the heat of the day, and bearing the burden of the day, the more it'll be an exercise of your life. [39:34] Yes, what your hand finds to do, the do it is to the Lord. But this great idea, that you might live a life of faith by prayer, bringing your hard things to the Lord. [39:46] Looking for him, to favour you, the favour he bears of these people, and visit you and me. And that our latter days might be more profitable to our souls, as we look to the Lord Jesus Christ, to say to your soul, I am thy salvation. [40:05] So you can't buy your way to heaven. You can't buy your way to be a head of the church. You can't buy your way to be a pope, or to be a leader. No. [40:24] We need, dear friends, the doctrines of free and sovereign grace. It isn't, dear friends, getting, as it were, the esteem of man. [40:35] But we want to esteem Christ, as our daily, precious Saviour, that he shed his blood on Calvary's truth without blemish. The perfect. [40:49] He will perfect that work that concerns you and me, if you're a true believer, if you're a chosen vessel. He said, you have not chosen me, I have chosen you. Ordain you, you go forth and bring forth with all done we are much to pray for. [41:07] To bring our souls out of prison, that we might praise him, and feel that he has blessed us with these tokens of his everlasting life. Because if I grace that you save through faith, that none of yourselves is the gift of God, not a man, that a man should boast. [41:26] Not of the flesh. A man should boast. And there'll be no proud boasting with you and me about our religion. But to have a little that you possess of this vital godliness, that you might know the truth. [41:41] And how do we know it? When he's applied it. The endings of his words will give you a large understanding for your simple soul and mine. And you might be one of these lively stones, a living stone, that is exercised, made tender in the fear of God. [42:02] And so, Jesus was ordained before the foundation of all that was manifest in these last times for you. [42:14] We're in the last times. We're in the Gospel days. Lord, to know that he's applied so to you. Exercise yourself, that the truth as it is applied will stick fast in yourself, and you'll meditate with him at the throne of grace. [42:34] The Lord confirm myself. Give me evidences that I've been born again. And to be brought to realize that he said here, as we read this morning, all flesh is as grass and all the glory of man is a flower of grass. The grass withereth and the flower of thou falleth away. [42:58] We think then, of those leaders in years past, have been raised up for purpose. Those dear friends that have been given, yes, grace and wisdom, to bring us away from the great dictators in the world. [43:18] They're still about now. So you can undermine the word of truth. But what a mercy says, all flesh is as grass. [43:32] You know, when they die, they worship them and glorify their friends, a dead man, a woman. What a mercy to be an over-become heir. [43:44] Lord, undertake for me and teach me, and teach me, and teach me, Lord, to number thy days, that I might not apply it, but I might apply my heart unto wisdom, to observe. [44:01] To observe that God reigns with all flesh is as grass, the grass withereth and the flower of our faith. So is the man. So is the woman. So is the child. [44:15] And so we look with the Lord. To have evidences that I have been born of incorruptible sin by the word of God which liveth. [44:26] This is the word of God. And you and I need to search it. And we need to seek it, the application, the entrance of it, and give it to life and understanding to my poor simple child. These politicians so called are supposed to govern the affairs of the land. [44:48] And they deny the first thing, the Bible, and they want to destroy it, they want to take it out of schools. And hurt them but tell, in that wanting to take the Bible's ad, they've been, what trouble they're causing the nation. His judgments. And we've had some of these judgments with the floods. [45:12] See, this is solemn. And you pity those poor things that are suffering under floods, whether it be Queensland, or all down the coast, or also in Tasmania. [45:29] You don't hear anybody saying it's a judgment, do you? Because their eyes of understanding are darkened. But when the eyes of understanding are light, and this you and I will be, if we know the truth, we should need the Lord to grant us this incorruptible word of life, which you liveth and abideth, through his word. [45:55] The entrance of his word, to give it light, and understanding to your soul and life. And to know this, that you are for art, embodied and mind. [46:08] Until the Lord gives you a new heart and makes you more tender. And so now we need the Lord to grant us that grace in our soul, the call by grace. And it might be, dear friends, that he might go into the highways and the byways and compel them to come in. [46:27] What a rejoicing that we have. Sons and daughters of my blessed adoption. Not creating their own will, not bringing their own pathway, dear friends, into corruption. [46:41] Because their sins will increase. For the Lord to see sin smarts but slightly, but only with compassion is easiest for the Lord to feel touched deeply on discretion. [46:54] And I believe you'll know that. I believe you'll know that. As we touched upon in prayer about this, these evil marriages, dear friends. [47:09] Women and women are men and men. To thank God that they destroyed their friends and their souls, if they are permitted to do it. And if they are permitted to bring it in, Lord, in the nation. There will be a solemn judgment upon us. [47:26] All what matters we need to pray for. And it seems to me that you and I and believers are in the minority in the world and in the land. [47:37] They're bringing these evils. But what a mercy that the Lord God and the Lord have reign in. And may we yet see the Lord even a turning. Turning, dear friends, of the power of, the seeming power of man. [47:57] And realise that the government is upon his shoulders in these battles. Or that there might yet be evidences of this purifying of your soul, he says here. [48:11] In obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unlawing unfind love of the brethren. See that you love one another with a pure heart. Is our love pure to the brethren? [48:26] You know whether it is a dear or as it is a fleshly love. Unfind love. Not a made up love. Not an imagination in your heart. [48:38] But you love this one and that one. That's a love of the truth. And we need to look at the Word of God and read what the Lord Peter has been taught by the Spirit. [48:53] And you and I to know by the evidence is we are born again. Led by the Spirit. To know this. That we need this precious blood of Christ. [49:06] He says, be attractive to you. Because he says, be attractive to yourselves. Because he says when I see the blood. As in those early days. The protection of the Israelites. [49:19] When they dauntlet the doorposts. And the heads down with words. They dauntlet their friends. With the blood. Of peace. [49:34] And that was a sign. In the forthcoming of the Lord Jesus Christ. In his shed blood. Because this is our perfect blood. To cleanse it from all sin. [49:48] And this is what will redeem you. Pay the price. For your sins and my soul. To feel more of this burden of their sin. And so. So. Treated lightly. I believe in their day. This is unfeigned love of the brethren. And how can two walk together. Except they be agreed. [50:12] That's not being said. And how can two walk together. And what do you believe in their life? And what do you do? In your life? In your life? It takes that back. Takes it back to the. The marriage of one of my sons. I had to speak. Dear friends at the wedding. And that was on my mind. [50:28] Because it's the unfeigned love. The goodness. Wasn't make love. I believe in those early days. And then when the marriage. It was the unfamed love of the brethren that was beginning to evolve in them themselves, being brought forth to earth and brought forth. [50:53] And so these things encourage you, dear friends, to seek those suitable partners in life when it comes to that of some of us may have gone into marriage unconverted, but we have to look back and see the hand of the Lord in it and the blessing for it. [51:19] Know that pathway, dear friends, has been tempted and tried in our pathway as though we've had it on to occasions in two beloved wives, yet, you see, walk together as being agreed, in that knowledge of the truth is the desires of ourself to walk worthy of him. [51:46] God will be born over our shortcomings of failures, but the Lord knows the desires of ourself. And looking for this blood of Christ to cleanse us from all our sins. [52:01] For if sin be pardoned. That's the security of your soul and mind, resting in the love of Christ, which is rich and free, fixed on his own, it's under the election of God. [52:18] Now, it's not for you and me to choose. You can't give anyone grace. But he can, he does, and he will. [52:29] And so walking together in the fear of God, seeking to know and do his will, and to see that we're not left to be carried away with the things of this world. [52:44] We should hold them with a loose hand, but desire to know and have this treasure in our upper vessels, that the actions of power may be of God and not of us, looking unto Jesus. [52:57] What a blessed mercy if the eyes of your understanding have been enlightened, and you seek grace to walk worthy of him. [53:09] And as young, newborn babes, you know we won't be critical of them. [53:20] To the sense, dear friends, of finding fault with others, we have to look at home first, don't we? And it'll be here on my heart, the burden lies, the past offences, pain in my eyes. [53:34] You'll mourn over your shortcomings, you'll mourn over your sins and after him. But also know that Jesus is made nigh to you with revelation of his sin-atoning blood, that prepares you and me as grace is given for those mansions in the sky. [53:56] And he says, if I go and prepare a place for you, I come again and reveal myself to you. [54:09] And he's gone to prepare a place for you, I come again and take the mighty glory at the time of their departure, when it is at hand, and it will be at hand one day. [54:24] Because we do not and will not live forever. But oh, to have Christ Jesus formed in your heart, the hope of glory, and to bless you and me with that grace to endure. [54:38] And this word of the Lord, he tells us in Jerusalem, let them try and take it away from the schools. Let them try and burn the Bibles if they could. [54:50] But still, this truth will be burned into your soul and mine. And he says, ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. Free from what? The condemnation, the broken law. [55:02] The Lord is Jesus, my friend, that hung on the tree, that opened his channel for you and for me. What a saviour. And what a mercy if you're one of these chosen vessels. [55:17] Because the appointed time will roll on a place not to propose but call by grace, to change your heart, renew your will, and return your feet to Zion's hill. [55:29] What a saviour. What a saviour. And what a mercy. And this will humble you and me. This will humble you and me when Jesus himself reveals himself to poor sinners. [55:42] This is not something that you can learn, dear friends, as church school boys learn their times. This is something applied. The appointed time, well, on a place not to propose but call by grace. [55:58] To change the heart, renew your will, and return your feet to Zion's hill. And you're made to feel that he is the one thing needful. [56:09] And you won't be ashamed to secretly call upon his name in the day of trouble. And he says, I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me. He must have all the praise and the glory that's due unto his name as this saviour. [56:24] And he will have compassion upon you. And you will have compassion on one way or another. To see those fruits, dear friends, and evidences of thy grace which is saved. [56:37] And you will not prevent Jesus sending out his truth. And he will favour you at a time. [56:49] And he will wear you and be down. He will wear you down, dear friends, into that state of repentance. And that God is sorry for your sin. [57:00] And these things are a mystery to you. But he knows how to deal wisely with yourself. And so, you see, no tradition from your fathers can save you. [57:15] But your fathers will pray, your mothers will pray for you. And we are subjects here, I believe, with many of us, the older ones, have been the subjects of parents' prayers. [57:32] And what a value they are. Because they've been taught of them all. Because their parents are pray for them. And that's a privilege to have a praying mother and father. [57:48] To be enabled, dear friends, to see the evidences of the fruits of it. Bought with a price, eternally loved. Though they would have said, Well, why me? Why me? Why would I have taught the prayers? [58:04] Well, because the Lord has a favour towards them. And has a favour towards you now. And you can truly endorse him. [58:15] The Lord has favoured you with that hunger now, and that thirst after his righteousness. And your desire. To be enabled to have your faith strengthened, to believe in him. [58:33] And pray for the revelation of the blood of Christ. A fountain open for sin and unfaillness. The dying of faith. The dying of faith. The real people really desire that. [58:46] The dying of faith. Rejoice to see that path in this day. And there of you and I. You are humbly saved. [58:58] And blessed him for that life. And you know what it is. And some of you know, they're still praying for it. And redeemed. [59:09] Let the redeemer of the Lord say to us. And we are chosen. All of all was made. Chosen generations. A people. That shall live to praise his name. And I noticed the other day. How that prayer from their former prime ministers prayed, made this nation pray. [59:20] Because of their desire. To pray. And they're still praying. And they're still praying. That coming word from a. A. A. A. [59:34] A man that feared God. That was a prime minister. And he said. And that's why. And it's why. And they'll say. How. That. Prayer. [59:45] From their former. One of their prime ministers. Pray. And they'll say. It made this nation pray. Because of their desire. To pray. [59:56] And that coming word from a. A man that feared God. Now, no matter what persuasion, if he'd been able to record that what made this nation great was one thing, was an honorable marriage with man and woman. [60:14] And now we do need more praying leaders. And this doesn't vary hopeful at minute, but the Lord knows where they are. [60:26] And he's able to stop. And he's able to meet these leaders. He governs their ways and their affairs and they have to do what he didn't have to be done. [60:42] And though they might not know it as individuals, it's because God reigns. And God has reigned in the wars that our countries have had. [60:54] England and the Commonwealth. They have been able to defeat the enemies of those nations because God reigns. [61:06] And what a mercy for the Lord to increase our faith and our hope. And it comes down to you and me, those poor sinners that are exalted to pray for those that have the authority over us. [61:23] that are coming back to this personal religion, this resignation to the will of God in your pathway and mine. [61:33] To realize that the Lord will grant you and me that knowledge of Jesus Christ, who is ordained before the foundation of God that was manifest in these last times. [61:49] And he will be manifested to you and me to make you and me conscious of your need of prayer. For the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man, righteous woman, righteous even young child. [62:05] And my dear old deacon had stayed with us. He was, I think he was eight or nine years old when he was convinced of his sin. [62:19] And he was made willing in his seventies, eighties when he was baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. And we're never too old to learn, and we're never too young to learn the wisdom of God which is a mystery to know and to plead. [62:40] For the Lord to govern our ways and our fears, but above all lead us through this fountain that's open, just in an unclean midst. And we're not a mystery, nor what a mercy, as of a lamb without blemish, as is the case of the sacrificial lamb, dear friends. [63:01] And Jesus is the lamb of God, without blemish and without his father. No, he came amongst his own, his own received him not, but as many as he received, for them gave him the power. [63:16] And that's what lacking in their day, that's what we need, the power of God in salvation, to prepare you and me for his will. [63:26] And to make us each wise under salvation through faith in the merit of Jesus. And to sanctify our souls through the blood of Christ. [63:37] And to seek that close of all God that calmeth and be faint, that light that shines upon the road that leads us to the Lamb. [63:48] But we must leave it for the time. May the Lord bless his own world and forgive our sins. As we ask you for Christ's sake alone. Amen. [63:59] Let us conclude with hymn number 96, the tunes of Catherine 793. [64:12] Now I have found the great ground wherein my anchor hope shall firm remain. The wounds of Jesus for my sin before the world's foundation slain. [64:27] Whose mercies shall unshaken stay when heaven and earth are fled away. And grace shall bottomless a bit. [64:38] My sins are swallowed up in thee. Covered in my unrighteousness. From condemnation I am free. For Jesus' blood through earth and skies. [64:52] Mercy, eternal mercy, Christ. Mercy, eternal mercy, Christ. [65:14] 96. E. E. 1. 3. [65:28] 3. 1. 2. 2. 3. 2.
