[0:00] I ask your attention again to chapter 15, the gospel as recorded by Matthew, verse 25. [0:17] The gospel as recorded by Matthew, chapter 15, and verse 25. Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. [0:45] This dear woman is a Syrophoenician. She was a Gentile. So within her was given that grace of faith, adventure on the Saviour. [1:02] We said this morning that the Lord is a Sovereign in his dealings with his dear people. And he's also a Sovereign in the choice of the means, and the means being sanctified that brings them to the footstool of mercy. [1:20] The case was her daughter, grievously vexed with a devil. And that was the substance of her cry. [1:37] That was the matter which lay with weight upon her spirit. She was, as we have read this morning, as that dear woman was, she pleaded her case against opposition. [1:58] And indeed against, seemingly, that silence of the Lord Jesus. It is a remarkable case by those evidences, you know, because wherever you look in the gospel, there isn't a case like it. [2:18] Everyone whom the Lord Jesus Christ attended to, some were brought to him, some the Lord Jesus Christ went to, he answered their need by removing their complaint. [2:35] I have to be very careful, but I cannot think or remember any case where there was this trying of faith, where there was this waiting period, where there was this season when it would seem, naturally speaking, that the poor woman had not gained the ear of the Lord God of Sabaoth. [2:58] But then, why did the Lord Jesus Christ depart into the coast of Tyre and Sidon? Because there was a dear soul that was to be blessed. [3:11] That is why. And there was no other purpose. That dear woman, we did read afterwards, after this occasion was over, then Jesus departed from thence and came nigh unto the Sea of Galilee. [3:26] He went there for her. What a wonderful spot of ground that is, where a sinner and a saviour meet. There is a hymn or a verse, I can't get it together, but it's a reminder, something like this, does thou not know the spot of ground where Jesus did they meet? [3:52] Well, the child of grace has those spots of ground. And I believe while memory lasts, they will always have that in reverence. [4:04] And those places and spots are sacred places. They are the places where Ebeneezus are raised up. Hitherto hath the Lord helped us, and who has not known that? [4:18] When there's been a cry from the heart, not from the natural heart, because there'll be no cry from the natural heart, but from the spiritual heart. [4:29] And that sacred place, where the Lord has appeared, is sacred to the memory of the people of God, while they last, while they live in this world of sin and woe. [4:40] And they'll go back to those places, you know. If not, in very day, they shall go back to them in experience. And they shall say, this is where the Lord met me, on this occasion, and this was the purpose, it was to bless. [4:59] But then, I feel it upon my spirit, my friends, tonight, I ask the Lord that we might have some help this night, again, to speak of one or two prominent things, within this, short passage of this, Syrophoenician woman. [5:18] First of all, the cry again, was for mercy. What a blessed cry, and you know that cry, only is found in a poor, needy sinner's heart, you know. [5:35] That, she should cry for mercy. She didn't say, that this devil, might be removed. She didn't outline, what this devil, had done for her daughter, or done in her daughter, or what her daughter, had done because of this devil. [5:54] But she, as it were, gathered it all together, and begged for mercy. Have mercy on me. The den, my friends, is that liberty, to speak to God. [6:09] And that's not a false liberty, that's a gracious, constraining. It is something, which the Lord Jesus Christ, often, spoke to those needy ones. [6:22] Well, she speaks to God, she speaks to the Lord Jesus Christ, as God, have mercy on me, thou son of David. And then, my friends, what do you see in this mercy? [6:37] The very appearance, of the Son of God, on behalf of your, circumstance, or situation, on the burden, of your precious souls. [6:49] There is an appealing, as it were, and I say it very reverently, unto Christ himself, from where mercy, is to be found. And, my friends, receive this, as truth, also, Jesus Christ, is mercy, for his people. [7:08] Mercy, undeserved, favor of God, is mercy. Unworthy, of mercy, we all are. It would be, absolutely just, where sinners, are consigned, to the pit, but there are, some sinners, that never will go, to the pit, because in eternity, past, the Trinity, had mercy. [7:33] Have mercy, on me, thou, O Lord, thou son of David. My friends, but what a blessed subject, his mercy. You know, if you know, a little of mercy, as you travel, through this world, you'll sing, of mercy, and of, to the praise, of his glorious name, in heaven at last. [7:54] When you speak, together, of the things of God, it will be, the mercy of God, that you will want, to speak of. You want to testify, to one and another, of the ways of God, in your pathway, well surely, you'll speak of it, as a mercy. [8:11] And I say again, what I've learned, my friends, if you need mercy, God has already, had mercy. And put that need there, had mercy. [8:23] But then, my friends, the mercy, that is so, suitable to sinners, flows from the, person of the Lord, Jesus Christ. Oh, how he dealt, with evil men, how he spoke, vehemently against them. [8:39] But the same, precious lips, that faithfully, preached his gospel, and discovered, the evil in men, and as it were, brought it to the light. My friends, the same blessed lips, spoke compassion, and spoke comfort, and spoke, uh, graciously, to poor sinners here. [9:01] And then, my friends, in that mercy, oh, he is a fountain, of mercy. And that mercy, in itself, my friends, is, that which, is so, to be found, satisfying, the needy, and the poor, and the desperately, distressed, and troubled sinner. [9:23] Oh, ever pray for mercy, but you'll only pray for it, when you need it. And if you're enabled, as you need it, to pray for it, my friends, you'll bless God, because it's a free mercy. [9:36] Without thy, free mercy, I could not live here. sin, soon, would reduce me, to utter despair. That's mercy, and mercy, will take away despair. [9:51] Mercy, will raise up, a comfortable hope, in your very soul. Look to him, as you're enabled, as grace, is given. Look to him, pray unto him, seek him, on that grounds, that one ground, of mercy. [10:07] Have mercy on me. But then I thought of, and I hope, led to think a little, of that gracious, work of faith. [10:20] And, we read, of course, at the close, of this dispensation, that Jesus answered, and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith. [10:33] Great is thy faith. Real faith, is the gift of God. And, and that, great, that great faith, my friends, is given of God. [10:46] Now, faith must have, an object. And the object, here, is the person, of Christ. Great is thy faith. Was it in the, wrestling, prayer, of this woman? [11:01] It indeed was, but not only. that faith, that faith, faith, faith, was, to be seen, in what she did, as she came unto Christ. [11:14] That cry, that came from her heart, and behold, a woman of Canaan, came out of the same coast, and cried unto him, and there was faith. There was great faith. [11:27] Sometimes, you know, the poor people of God, wonder if they've got any. And then, sometimes, they fall under the rebuke, of the Lord Jesus Christ. He was in a ship, on a lake, and the storm blew up, and oh, it was dangerous, evidently. [11:43] And he quelled the storm, at their request, and there was a great calm, and he said, where is your faith? Now, my friends, sometimes, it is, covered over, as it were, with unbelief. [12:01] Sometimes, it seems, that unbelief, rules and reigns, in the heart, and it surely does, in the heart, in the natural heart, of a believer. And the sweetness, and the greatness, of that faith, seem to be, subsided. [12:17] Where is your faith? But, blessed be God, and there's something, also, very precious here, you know, this great faith, was the gift of God, and those, who are blessed, with faith, whether it is, great faith, or little faith, will surely, know this, and they will live, to prove it, my friends, long as they live, in this world, of sin and woe, they shall be, in possession, of that faith. [12:45] God, never takes, that faith away. Never. Oh, it's a mercy, my friends, it's the gift of God. Oh, it'll damp, it'll be dampened. [12:59] Oh, it surely will, sometimes, it's as we've got, no faith at all. The Lord Jesus Christ, spoke, very often, to those disciples, of his, because they seem, to be very, leaky vessels, as far as, spiritual blessings, were concerned. [13:17] He had to remind them, when they complained, of no food, that Harry had fed, four thousand, and five thousand. He had to soon, remind them of that. And, my friends, such is faith. [13:34] faith. But, it is God's gift. And, the poet says, though it lives, and labours, under load, though damp, it never dies, that faith. [13:46] But, as I said, it has an object. But, then again, as we said this morning, true and living faith, will have, to endure, the trial of faith. [13:59] And, this trial of faith, came, when we read, those words, but he answered her, not a word. And, the disciples, came, and besought him, saying, send her away. [14:15] Oh, what a trial of faith. Does Satan, tempt thee, to give up, no more, to call, on Jesus name? Often, dear friends, often. [14:28] And, then of course, the words, which were strange, to her ears, I am not sent, but unto the lost sheep, of the house of Israel. It is not me, to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs. [14:43] All these things were, well, seemingly, such an opposition, to her faith. But, it wasn't really, it was a trying, of her faith. It was, that she should, in that faith, indeed know, what is known, as persevering faith. [15:02] It's like that dear woman, in the Luke, in the Gospel of Luke, that we read, in Pertunity. She pressed her case. My friends, blessed is those, that are blessed, with living faith, and that faith, will lead, such souls, with it, unto Jesus. [15:22] And, I believe this also, and it is very, clear to me, that that faith, my friends, was, in this, to be seen, that she cried, for his appearance, and his deliverance, and I feel, that she didn't doubt it. [15:39] She didn't doubt, the ability, of Jesus Christ. She didn't say, well, all this reprove, all this opposition, all this delay, and all this distress, well, my daughters, only get worse. [15:55] Can only get worse. But then, my friends, I believe, that faith, stood the test. And it stood the test, because she came, and believed, that the Lord, was able to do, what she prayed for. [16:11] And that, holding on to faith, and persevering faith, and that blessed, grace of faith, rested upon his ability, and that he would, have mercy. [16:23] mercy. She was not, to be, sent away. She was not, to go away either. She stayed, and pressed her case. [16:36] Gracious faith, is that. Then also, I want to speak, a little of this help. Then came she, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. [16:47] What sort of help, does she want? My friends, what sort of help, do you have to bring, in your cry to the Lord? It took me back, to Wednesday, we read the 46th Psalm, in the prayer meeting here, and, in that 46th Psalm, of course, we, have those, words, a very, present help. [17:11] A very, present help. That was the help, that she needed. It was now, God is our refuge, and strength. A very, present help, in trouble. [17:23] And, we read also, the 62nd Psalm, and, there in that Psalm, we, find, these words. This, waiting upon God, my soul, wait thou, only upon God, for my expectation, is from here, he only is my rock, and my salvation, he is my defence, I shall not be moved. [17:52] Now, my friends, for a moment, let us, speak about this help. That help, that present help. That help, which you need, now, that help, which you shall need, is found in him. [18:09] Well, what is this, what is there about this help, that is so, attractive, when it is God's help, my friends, it's divine help. If your pathway, has got its trial, and trouble, and it surely, will if you're a child, of God, it's, vain is the help of man, we sang this morning, no help in self, I find. [18:33] And, I believe, that the Lord, will give you pathways, where you'll prove, the insufficiency, of your own help. help. But, it is God's help, that is required. [18:45] It's his hand, that is required, on your behalf. It's his appearance, and it will be, his deliverance. And, as he has, all things, in his control, and, for which he rules, over all things, in his people's lives, it will be, sufficient help. [19:04] help. My friends, that's a wonderful blessing. You won't need, someone to top up, that help, you know. You won't need, anyone to come, and assist, the Lord, in his help, on your behalf. [19:20] Lord, help me, he'll do it all. It's sufficient help, and timely help, as we said, a very pleasant help, in times of trouble, but it will be, a sufficient help, all power, is given unto me, in heaven, and in earth. [19:38] Very sweet, are those words, of the poet. When most, she need, his help in hand, this friend, is always near. With heaven, and earth, at his command, he waits, to answer prayer. [19:53] But they, that wait, upon the Lord, shall renew, their strength. They shall mount up, with wings, as eagles. They shall run, and not be weary, and they shall walk, and not fade. [20:05] And I'll do that, my friends, because his help, is sufficient. Oh, may we be delivered, from, doubting his help, because it is, an able help, it is, a sure, sufficient help. [20:20] It will cover, all needs. Then we must also, say about this help, it is, divinely, and mercifully, free, to his people. [20:33] Oh, what a blessing, that is. My friends, when you seek, help of man, they can, in a measure, help. They can, so far, as they're, able to help. [20:48] They can, in a certain sense, give, all that they have, to help. But it's, limited help. But this is help, my friends, which is, totally, unlimited. [21:03] It is a, gracious help, that is. It is, a help, in times of need, in one's, spiritual experience. Oh, my friends, when you call, upon him, in a day of trouble, and it might be, the trouble, in your soul, my friends, with him, is needy, is for the needy, and the poor, a sufficient help. [21:27] And it comes, so wonderful, to the people of God. Then came she, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. And how, is that help, to be seen? [21:39] My friends, how would it be, revealed to you, that help? Well, you say, well, this circumstance, is such, that I need the Lord, to do this, for me. [21:52] Well, my friends, in all these matters, the Lord, shall have the honour, and the glory. And in all these matters, he will do, far more, than we can ask, or think. [22:04] Very wonderfully, my friend, is his help. Very wonderful. And furthermore, not only in the wonder, of his help, it is the way, in which he will indeed, so, reveal it to you. [22:21] Now, in your own soul's, circumstance, in the knowledge, of that, most, dreadful, affliction, of sin within, my friends, you will need, his help. [22:33] Now, that help, will be known, not in the measure, that you may have, prayed for, but it may, please the Lord, to grant his help, by the, word of his grace. [22:50] You know, what it says, in the psalm, he sent his word, and healed. He sent his word, and healed. I've often said to you, of that, dear woman, Mary Magdalene, that she waited, at the open tomb, distraught, with tears, flowing from her eyes, devoid of comfort, Jesus Christ, was not there, the tomb was empty, whom, he, whom she loved, was not around, anymore, in her feelings. [23:28] And, so she sought, help of man, and she asked, that man of sorrows, that one, that was acquainted, with grief, for help, tell me, she said, where thou hast, laid him, and I will take him away. [23:44] What help, she needed. Jesus said unto her, Mary, that was such a help. A word in season, was the help, that that dear woman, experienced, it drove, all the doubts, and fears, and the distress, away, and she worshipped, Christ. [24:04] Wonderful, my friends, when God's help, is on your side. Wonderful. Power, too, of that help. You may, but speak a word, it will be a help, to you. [24:15] For instance, for an example, my friends, remember, in the word of God, the many, fear nots, that are recorded. [24:29] We sing, as we've reminded you, I believe, when most we need, his help in hand, his strength is always near, but rather, that it shall be, perhaps, you may look for, this deliverance, by this means, it may please, the Lord, that he must just speak, into your very soul, of fear not. [24:51] The poet says, fear not, I am with thee, O be not dismayed, I am thy God, and will still give thee aid, I'll strengthen thee, help thee, and cause thee to stand, upheld by my righteous, omnipotent hand. [25:09] O, how many of the people of God, have thanked him, for his fear not, and hasn't it been a help, hasn't it taken away, that dread, and dismay, and distress, and trouble, that's such a burden, to your spirit, well, my friends, he will help you, through his word, and by his word, and by his promises, those sweet, and precious seasons, my friends, when a word, from the Lord, is a help, and support, you have, a day before you, which is, a most trying day, in your experience, you feel, and you, wake on that morning, and you know, full well, my friends, that you are, insufficient, insufficient, in grace, or in help, or in strength, or any means, of comfort, and mercy, the Lord, help you, to cast your burden, on him, and my friends, the help, that he gives, is sufficient help, and it is, suitable help, suitable help, you don't need, anybody else's help, my friends, the Lord knows, how to suit his help, to your case, and condition, and in that giving, of help, you know, in the giving, of help, there will be, a relieving, of the burden, and it will, roll away, oh, you know, and we can say it, now here, this night, my friends, that dear, pastor here, [26:49] I used to say to him, how did you get on, and he said, helped along, that was his, wonderful two words, that was, but didn't it, cover everything, I didn't know, what his text was, I never knew, what he said, he went off, and preached somewhere, and came back, helped along, my friends, it was seasonable help, and also, it is continued help, but let me just say this, and I will interject, this word here, for a moment, my friends, when I said, it's continued help, the Lord will put you, in a pathway, where you will need, that help, oh, his blessings, are truly, wonderful, his mercies, are so, graciously bestowed, but he'll bring, his people, to that place, when they will cry, they'll have to cry, for it, and this is the, effect, that, this delay, this, withholding, this, silence, of the Lord Jesus, brought her, and it brought her, to cry, it intensified, intensified, the need, of her soul, it strengthened her, in faith, to cry, she persevered, my friends, against most, sad opposition, most distressing, opposition, and it was, but to try her faith, and to say, her will work, then came she, and worshipped him, saying, [28:20] Lord, help me, oh, this help, my friends, is an eternal help, it comes from glory, I was reading a portion, in a, book of portions, the other, day, day or two ago, and it, it, the subject, was, that psalm, which speaks, about the rain, filleth the pools, you know the psalm, well enough, I'm sure, but where does the rain, come from, my friends, from the heavens, from the heavens, they, who, walk that, pilgrimage way, it speaks, about the rain, filleth the pools, each, and every one, presents themselves, in Zion, but, it was that, that was those words, which, attracted my, thoughts, and meditations, for a brief moment, my friends, how the pools, are filled, not from the earth, but from heaven, and this is where, the help will come from, it will be, poured out, from heaven, it will be, sufficient help, also, it will be, suitable help, and it will come, from God's right hand, but, but then, you know, what, [29:44] I said a moment ago, how the Lord, is sovereign, and how he, graciously gives, the help, and what he gives, as his help, we may feel, well, the help we need now, is this trouble, to be removed, in a moment, but in the storms, of life, you know, and there will be, storms in life, it's not, that you and I, shall travel on, in this veil of tears, with no storms, no trial of faith, it's not, as though, he will sweep it, all away in a moment, and say, your pathway now, is one, of peace, and quietness, and smoothness, that wouldn't be, the way to glory, my friends, but it will be this, that he will use, the means, of which, the pathway, which his people, shall come into, to give this help, my mind went, I'm saying this now, I went to the Acts, of the Apostles, and that, remarkable incident, in the Apostle, [30:48] Paul's, life, when he was, sailing in that boat, towards Rome, it was perilous, it was perilous, he needed the Lord, to appear, well, we read this about it, you know, that, neither sun, nor stars, appeared, for many days, and all hope, of being saved, was, put away, trying to find it, and when neither sun, nor stars, in many days, appear, and no small tempers, lay on us, all hope, that we should be saved, was then taken away, but then, the help came, no, the storm, was still there, the tempest, was still there, but the help, came, what was the help, and after, long abstinence, Paul stood forth, in the midst of them, and said, serves, you should have, hearkened unto me, and not have, loosed from Crete, and to have, gained this harm, and loss, but now, [31:56] I exhort you, to be of good cheer, because, for there shall be, no loss, to any man's life, among you, but of the ship, for there stood, by me this night, the angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve, saying, fear not Paul, that's where your help, will come from, my friends, and it's a blessed help then, you want to know, you're a child of God, there's your evidence, if you want to know, that your pilgrimage journey, will end in glory, there's the evidence, saying, fear not God, thou must be brought, before Caesar, and lo, God hath given thee, all them, that sail with thee, wherefore, sails be of good cheer, for I believe God, that it shall be, even as it was told me, oh, there's the help, my friends, when the Lord speaks, takes away the fear, removes, it doesn't remove, you go on in the way, you know, that storm, will still rage, that tempest, will still continue, just as long, as the Lord, sees it, that it does, but then, my friends, what a blessed help, that is, when you lean on him, that's the help, who is this, that cometh up out, out of the wilderness, leaning upon, her beloved, it's a poor soul, that's got no help, anywhere else, [33:29] Lord, help me, and then, too, we must say this, my friends, and that is, the help, that sustains, his people, already said, that, the pathway, of a child of God, can be no more, and no less, than what the word, of God tells us, if you are, a believer, and follower, of Jesus Christ, it will be, in a measure, as his was, it will be, you know, it will be, in a measure, as he was, as his was, but also this, he himself, said in the world, in me, you shall have peace, in the world, you shall have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome, the world, and my friends, as he has overcome, the world, he'll overcome, the world for you, he will speak, peace, and comfort, in your soul, he may not, alter the situation, or the circumstance, that you're in, but within it, within it, my friends, will be this divine help, and you'll lean on that, and you'll rest on it, and there's that other word, that's just dropped into, of which the servant, of God knows, spoke to Israel, as they were to, cross over Jordan, they were to enter, into the promised land, it's the promised land, it's what God promised them, and are still there, and though they are afflicted, by their enemies, they will remain there, they shall never be delivered, or indeed, that they shall never be, separated from that promised land, they shan't be, driven out of that promised land, but what was the promise, the eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath, are the everlasting arms, then came she, and worshipped him, saying, [35:36] Lord, help me, it is one thing, you know, I think we might have said this, this morning, but it is one thing, to read, those accounts, of the hymn writers, and, where it's, so encouragingly, to the people of God, I can know, and I'll take, when I plead, for Jesus sake, when you're walking, this path, I said, you've got to put your feet, in the shoes, you've got to be, in this place, my friends, you've got to know, experience, experience, the trial of faith, and, and the many things, which, so come against, the way of God, the way of, the will of the Lord, working for you, and your soul, and the depths, of those places, my friends, you have to walk in them, to prove his deliverance, Lord, help me, then you know, there is that, in that matter, of, walking on, in the pilgrim way, under, the, help of God, there is that, support given, the Lord, help you, in me, and all our, concerns, to, though all things, are against us, at times, we might, press on in the way, looking unto Jesus, and then I want to just, bring this before you, as the time runs out, my mind, my mind went again, tonight, to the Lord's servant, [37:10] Jonah, and his disobedience, and in the path, of chastening, oh, you'll need his help, equally there, as anywhere else, the path, of chastening, he brings it, into his people's, lives, to chasten them, for, perhaps it may be, disobedience, it may be, for some, secret, sin, in their, in their heart, before the Lord, it might be, because of their unbelief, but whatever, means it is, the Lord, will bring his, chastening hand, but oh, my friends, he won't take away, his help, because of it, he won't remove, his help, because of it, well, the poor man, was in the deep, in the, whale's belly, three days, and three nights, as far off, from safety, as it could be, and from any, deliverance, that it could be, in the most, remarkable, and in yet, in the most, solemn, solemn way, my friends, he was, hopelessly, and helplessly, in trouble, and yet, in the midst of it all, his cry, come unto his God, from the bottoms, of the mountains, [38:26] I am cast out, of thy sight, yet, will I look again, towards thy, holy temple, and in so doing, my friends, he proved, deliverance, salvation, is of the Lord, this is what this woman, was to prove, this is what you, and I shall prove, in the trial of the way, that salvation, is of the Lord, though impossible, is that trouble, and trial, in that situation, or circumstance, and what a blessed thing, it is, when you need his help, to hold on, when you need his grace, his all sufficient grace, and there's something, I've overlooked, till this moment, my friends too, and this is where, the Lord, Lord's work of grace, is to be seen, in this woman's soul, you know, she was submitted, to it, she was brought, in submission, to it, as we read on, this morning, he, in this word, it is not made, to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs, and she said, truth Lord, oh, she didn't deny, that she wasn't a, that she was, only a Gentile dog, she didn't deny, she wasn't offended, unworthy, she was, [39:39] I thought of that hymn, a crumb of mercy, Lord, I crave, unworthy, to be fed, with dainties, such as angels had, or with the children's bread, and this is where, you and I, must surely come to, the Lord, oh, hasten those blessed days, my friends, when we're brought, in submission, to his will, oh, there will be the help, falling under it, recognizing, too, that any of his mercies, and all of his mercies, we are not worthy of, and if he should take it away, he'll be entirely just, if he should visit us, for our sins, he will be entirely just, but mercy, is in the dealings, of Jesus Christ, in this dear woman, and mercy, is in the dealings, of Jesus Christ, through his spirit, to your pathway, and through, unto your soul, mercy from beginning, to end, it was mercy, that he, that was, indeed so, used to call, to bring you and I, to call upon his name, in the very first instance, my friends, when you first cried, unto him, it was mercy, that brought you there, and it is mercy, that shall sustain you there, now, [40:54] I must, come to an end, but, I want to just go back, to that word faith, it is that living work, in a child of God, here, every child of grace, will have, a measure of faith, and will have to live, by that faith, and that faith, centered on the person, of Christ, will sustain them, all their, pilgrimage journey, and when they come, to die, my friends, as they enter, into the glories, of heaven, faith, will give place, to sight, there's no need, of faith, in glory, none at all, faith, my friends, here, as the object, to look to, in the eternal, glories of heaven, they shall see, his face, and never, never see, no opposition, no Satan, to distress, or trouble, no opposition, from good men, and women either, none at all, my friends, these disciples, were not much comfort, and help, to this dear woman, but she pressed, the case, she's like the woman, with the issue of blood, my friends, there was a multitude, about her, but her cry, was this, if I may, but touch, the hem of his garment, [42:18] I shall be made whole, and she pressed, through the crowd, if unto Jesus, thou art bound, a crowd about him, will be found, attending day and night, if thou press on, the crowd will fly, oh it will, have you not proved it, you will prove it, if you're a child of God, then came she, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me, the case, needed the Lord's help, the poor woman, needed the Lord's help, and my friends, she gained the victory, it wasn't to her, proud, nature, it was not to her, standing, the Lord, blessed her, with deliverance, a woman, great is thy faith, be it unto thee, even as thou wilt, and her daughter, was made whole, from that very hour, [43:27] Amen. If the Lord will, thanksgiving services, will be held, here on Wednesday, services to commence, at three o'clock, and six o'clock, Mr. Wood is engaged, to preach, and next Lord's day, Mr. Izzard, is expected, to preach, let us close, with singing, hymn 183, by covenant transaction, and blood, says Jesus, my people, are mine, their sin-bearing, victim, [44:40] I stood, yea, for them, my life, did resign, the curse, of the law, I sustained, did them, from all cursing, set free, that when, by stern, justice, arraigned, the sinner, should look unto me, hymn 183. [45:05] a song, won't you still hear me, you who mourn me, and nine, myINYale, should look unto me, great and, and have it through, but to the peace of the earth, and have it through, maybe neither should lead me, nor should I make alone, or should I make along, I make up for me, Now, I stand in heaven, praise God, my strength Ellen.
