There has been a baptist church in Fenstanton since the 1640s and over the years it has been connected with the cause at Warboys. It is possible that meetings were held in a private house but there is a lack of information regarding the cause during the 18th century. About the time of Mr Hayslops pastorate, it is believed that some old cottages were converted into a Chapel and this was used for about 150 years.Over the years the building needed urgent substantial repairs and in 1977 the building of the present Chapel began, much of the work carried out by voluntary labour. The new Chapel was opened in May1980.
