[3:50] I will be my life, I stay back free.

[4:05] I will be my life, I stay back free.

[4:20] I will be my life, I stay back free.

[4:50] And chapter 34, as far as verse 9. And the Lord said unto Moses, depart, and go up hence, thou and the people which thou hast brought up out of the land of Egypt, unto the land which I swear unto Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, unto thy seed will I give it.

[5:29] And I will send an angel before thee. And I will drive out the Kenyanite, the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite, unto a land flowing with milk and honey.

[5:52] For I will not go up in the midst of thee, for thou art a stiff-necked people, lest I consume thee in the way. And when the people heard these evil tidings, they mourned.

[6:11] And no man did put on him his ornaments. For the Lord had said unto Moses, Say unto the children of Israel, ye are a stiff-necked people.

[6:26] I will come up into the midst of thee in a moment, and consume thee. Therefore now put off thy ornaments from thee, that I may know what to do unto thee.

[6:41] And the children of Israel stripped themselves of their ornaments by the Mount Horeb. And Moses took the tabernacle and pitched it without the camp, afar off from the camp.

[7:00] And called it the tabernacle of the camp. And it came to pass, that everyone which sought the Lord, went out unto the tabernacle of the congregation, which was without the camp.

[7:21] And it came to pass, when Moses went out unto the tabernacle, that all the people rose up, and stood every man at his tent door, and looked after Moses until he was gone into the tabernacle.

[7:40] And it came to pass, as Moses entered into the tabernacle, the cloudy pillar descended, and stood at the door of the tabernacle, and the Lord talked with Moses.

[7:58] And all the people saw the cloudy pillar stand at the tabernacle door. And all the people rose up and worshipped, every man in his tent door.

[8:17] And the Lord spake unto Moses, face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp.

[8:33] But his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle. And Moses said unto the Lord, See, thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people.

[8:55] And thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name. And thou hast also found grace in my sight.

[9:12] Now therefore I pray thee, If I have found grace in thy sight, show me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight, and consider that this nation is thy people.

[9:37] And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest. And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.

[9:59] Wherein shall it be known here that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight? Is it not in that thou goest with us?

[10:14] So shall we be separated, I and thy people, from all the people that are upon thee face of the earth?

[10:26] And the Lord said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken.

[10:38] Thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name. and he said, I beseech thee, show me thy glory.

[10:52] And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before thee, and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy.

[11:18] And he said, Thou canst not see my face, for there shall no man see me and live.

[11:32] And the Lord said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shall stand upon a rock, and it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a cliff of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by.

[12:04] And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back part, but my face shall not be seen. And the Lord said unto Moses, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first.

[12:27] And I will write upon these tables the words that were in the first tables which thou breakest, and be ready in the morning, and come up in the morning unto the Mount Sinai, and present thyself there to me in the top of the Mount.

[12:51] And no man shall come up with thee, neither let any man be seen throughout all the Mount. Neither let the flocks nor herds feed before that Mount.

[13:09] And he hewed two tables of stone like unto the first. And Moses rose up early in the morning, went up unto Mount Sinai as the Lord had commanded him, and took in his hand the two tables of stone.

[13:31] And the Lord descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the Lord.

[13:47] And the Lord passed by before him, and proclaimed the Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, long-suffering and abundant in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin.

[14:24] And that will by no means clear the guilty. visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and upon the children's children unto the third and to the fourth generation.

[14:45] And Moses made haste and bowed his head toward the earth and worshipped. and he said, if now I have found grace in thy sight, O Lord, let my Lord, I pray thee, go among us.

[15:10] For it is a stiff-necked people and pardon our iniquity and our sin and take us for thine inheritance.

[15:25] Amen. Amen. Dear Lord, we come to thee.

[15:45] Truly, we believe we know something about thee. Lord, thou hast spoken in our lives in times past.

[16:01] we have felt thy gracious hand and an own thy presence.

[16:15] Dear Lord, we believe we have heard thy voice and know a little in the deep waters of life's pathway of what it has been to receive from thee sweet promises.

[16:35] Gracious God, we are dependent upon thee and we come again this night seeking for thy presence.

[16:49] Fresh grace, fresh strength, we have, Lord, no claim upon thee. Thou knowest our hearts.

[17:02] Thou hast seen them all together. And dear Lord, we have a sweet hope that we have in the pathway known a little of thy atoning love and blood.

[17:20] But oh gracious God, we know that we need it constantly, again and again. One said daily, oh, to feel ourselves undone will make us haste to kiss the sun.

[17:43] One said daily, I repent of sin. Oh, come and draw near and come this night and bless thy holy word of truth.

[18:03] Lord, we have no strength except in thee, and we have no hope except in thy dear self. And Lord, we pray thou would draw near and look down here this night into the need, the cases, the condition, the pathways, the trials, the crosses, the thorns in the flesh, that thou hast given.

[18:35] For therein, Lord, we need thy grace, thy strength, in all its efficiency. thou hast said, my grace is sufficient for thee.

[18:52] Oh, draw near then this night, and come and apply thy holy word in the hearts of thy dear living family. The government, Lord, is upon thy shoulders.

[19:08] The work is thine. It is a finished work. Thou art sovereign. We read, he giveth more grace.

[19:23] Lord, we pray that thou would give us grace to fight the good fight of faith, to lay hold on eternal life, and to endure unto the end.

[19:41] Give grace, Lord, to stand, and having done all, to stand in that great day. To stand before thee, as one said, bold, shall I stand in that great day.

[20:01] Who ought to my charge shall lie? dear Lord, we pray that there may be given those sweet riches of thy atoning blood in the hearts of poor sinners, that they may be clothed in thy spotless righteousness, and prepared for eternal glory.

[20:28] Thou knowest those who are conscious of the uncleanness of their heart, the ruined fallen nature that is there, the solemnity of eternity.

[20:45] Dear Lord, there is nothing that brings thy people so much to the mercy seat as a solemn weight of eternity and a longing to be made ready and prepared to stand in thine immediate presence.

[21:11] And Lord, we deal this night with the issues of life and death, time and eternity. And gracious God, we pray that thou, the eternal God, will grant those divine eternal blessings of thy spirit in the hearts of thy dear children.

[21:39] Those precious gifts of thy spirit in the soul, those heavenly promises, may they be spoken into the heart and indelibly written there, to be pleaded again and again, and even in the swellings of Jordan, to wrestle with thee.

[22:02] Lord, look down and write in the heart of thy living family what thou did speak to the soul of thy dear servant the apostle.

[22:16] My grace is sufficient for thee, for my strength is made perfect in weakness.

[22:29] And he said most gladly therefore, will I glory in mine infirmity that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

[22:44] For when I am weak, then am I strong. Oh, sanctify gracious God the weaknesses of thy living family to their soul's eternal good.

[23:02] And may they be given grace to bow beneath the cross and to be still and to know that thou art God.

[23:14] Oh, come and teacher, thy dear servant the apostle besought thee to take away his thorn in the flesh. For thou didst give him that blessed promise, my grace is sufficient for thee.

[23:34] And Lord, we pray that we may prove the divine extent of that sufficiency again and again, that we may rest in thee, dear Lord, here below, that we may know the promise thou didst give to thy dear servant Moses, my presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.

[24:08] Lord, grant thy dear church here below that rest, that glorious rest in thy will, in thy presence, in thy strength, in thy unchangeability.

[24:29] Oh, may we know, Lord, we believe in the way there have been precious moments of rest, the rest of faith in that rock, Christ Jesus, the billows all about us, the deep waters of life's pathway, as dear Rutherford said, deep waters crossed life's pathway, the hedge of thorns was sharp, now these lie all behind me, oh, for a well-tuned heart, oh, to sing glory, glory, in Emmanuel's land.

[25:20] And dear Lord, we have read this night of thy dear servant Moses. He knew thy presence, and he said in the knowledge of that, is it not that thou goest with us?

[25:40] Oh, may we know thee going with us in the way, walking in sweet communion and union with thee, feeling, Lord, we have one who will never leave us nor forsake us.

[25:57] We are full of fear and unbelief, a multitude of temptations, the fiery darts of the wicked one. They are a solemn, awful reality.

[26:09] Gracious God, is it not that thou goest with us? Oh, go with us. We beseech thee.

[26:21] May we prove it again and again. I am the Lord. I change not. Therefore, ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

[26:39] And Lord, thy dear servant Moses spoke, I and thy people are a separated people. Oh, thou dost separate thy dear church from this world unto thyself.

[26:57] Separate her into sweet union and communion with the living family of God. And Lord, bring her into that blessed place where we read of in the words of thy dear servant the apostle John.

[27:17] We have fellowship one with another and the blood of Jesus Christ, his son. cleanses us from all sin.

[27:31] Then they that feared the Lord, we read, spake often, one to another, and the book of remembrance was written, and they shall be mine, says the Lord of Hope, in that day when I make up my jewel, and I will spare them, as a man spareth his only son that serveth him.

[27:57] Then shall he return and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God, and him that serveth him not.

[28:11] Lord, look down upon this candlestick of truth, as thou hast long maintained upon thy servant, the pastor and under shepherd of this flock, anoint him in his labours, Lord, we pray thee.

[28:30] Bless thy servants here in the midst this night, Lord. O grant to them portion for their own soul, and the anointing of thy Holy Spirit, and the preaching of thy Holy Word, enduring grace, to be enabled to stand in the church.

[28:50] gracious God, bless the preaching of thy word here. Move and work, the work is thine.

[29:02] But Lord, we pray, there may be an entrance into the truth, the sweet knowledge of it, when I see the blood, I will pass over you.

[29:18] O may there be souls, wrought upon, brought into the church with a sweet knowledge of thyself, Lord Jesus Christ, brought to confess thy holy name under the sacred influence of the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, brought to obey thy divine commandment, made willing in the day of thy power.

[29:53] O gracious God, add unto the church such as should be saved. And come and work in the churches here in this land.

[30:08] O may thy spirit go forth, with thy anointing, resting upon the ministry of thy holy word.

[30:20] Lord, wherever thou hast sent a man to preach, bless his labour, and grant, Lord, there may be times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord.

[30:40] Gracious God, the land here is clothed in mourning. Thousands have been cast in a moment into eternity. How many may be manifested in that day as vessels appointed unto glory, we cannot know.

[31:05] Yet, Lord, we cannot but hope there were those in that solemn hour who looked to thee. We pray for those who mourn, children who have lost their parents, loved ones who have lost their dear ones.

[31:25] Lord, look down and sanctify the sorrows of the nation. As the nation is at war, the own nation is at war too.

[31:36] We pray, Lord, that thou grant our rulers wisdom. Down upon the president of this land and his government, down upon our own prime minister and his cabinet, Lord, raise up God-fearing men in the affairs of the nation.

[31:57] And oh, grant gracious God in the defence of freedom and liberty there may yet be manifest in the land the work of thy spirit that they may yet be given in this godless evil land darkened with every immorality and every abomination Lord, that there may yet be repentance godless sorrow a turning to thyself and the mighty spiritual awakening.

[32:38] Lord, stand the vast tides of evil, abominations of Sodom and Gomorrah, the great evils of the drug culture of this land, solemn discipline among the youth.

[32:53] Lord, thou seest all of our evils, the break-up of the marriages, gracious God, oh, may they be a turning again to thy word, to thy holy day, to thy holy law, to thyself, Lord Jesus Christ.

[33:17] Whereas, dear Lord, there is much my name. Yet, Lord, we pray that thou holy spirit of truth might come down and teach the way of God more perfectly and lead to a knowledge of thyself, Lord Jesus Christ.

[33:42] Oh, come and open the eyes of the blind. Unstop the death, the ears of the death, and come and appear in all thy glory as in former days.

[33:57] There's witnessed revival, our own land has witnessed it. Now, in the deep darkness in which we live, oh, turn us again, and we shall be turned.

[34:11] We think of Gideon, how thou didst reduce his strength in the way, now, Lord, hear the prayers of the God fearing remnant in the land.

[34:26] May we not think in those terms that Elijah felt there were seven thousand.

[34:38] I, he said, only am left, but there were seven thousand that had not bowed the knee to Baal. Lord, look down and come and appear.

[34:50] Come on, all thy dear people, in age and infirmity, in sickness and affliction, in weakness and weariness, Lord, come and comfort thy one church, servants.

[35:10] The outcasts of Israel, remember them, Lord. The strangers, oh, may there be strangers in the camp, the prodigals that have gone out and wandered far.

[35:23] Lord, we pray thou bring them back. The breaches in Zion, thou seest them all together. Oh, gracious God, heal them.

[35:33] may the arms of thy sent servants be upheld by the prayers of the people. Look upon us now, Lord, we come to thee.

[35:47] All our help cometh from the Lord. We seek thy gracious strength and presence. Grant this night the unction of the Holy One, the anointing of the Spirit.

[36:03] Lead us into the word of truth and grant grace and wisdom, rightly to divide it. Come, dear Lord, and look down.

[36:18] Fill our earth and vessel. Touch our lips with a live coal from thy heavenly altar. Bless the singing of thy praises.

[36:30] Hear our prayers. pardon all thy pure and holy eyes have seen of me as we would seek these mercies.

[36:42] for Christ's name. Amen. Amen. Just like to remind our friends that our friend Mr.

[37:28] Let's now sing hymn number 925. The 925th hymn. Peace by his cross has Jesus made.

[37:43] The church's everlasting head for hell and sin has victory won and with a shout to glory gone.

[40:44] Was I sing? Have Mom surfaced Thou? The King for Heaven has come by Jesus тоже.

[41:14] Thank you for the Lord's help. I direct your attention this evening to the book of Exodus chapter 33 and verse 14.

[41:31] The book of Exodus chapter 33 and verse 14. And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.

[41:46] And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest. I came over here to the States with two words that rested in my heart and soul for many weeks and months before I came.

[42:14] And I sought the Lord as I was asked to come over here for some guidance and reading. And I can truthfully say before you tonight, I believe that he spoke this word into my heart.

[42:33] And I've had to rest in it. My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest. And the second word that the Lord laid in my soul was this.

[42:49] My grace is sufficient for thee, for my strength is made perfect in weakness.

[42:59] The pathway of every one of God's dear children must have in it these opening words.

[43:18] They apply to both of those words I have mentioned tonight. He said unto me, said the Apostle Paul.

[43:29] And then he quotes the Lord's promise. My grace is sufficient for thee. And we read here exactly the same in the case of the Lord's dear servant Moses.

[43:44] God speaking in the heart of his dear child. And he said, What a remarkable sight this is.

[43:58] The holy and eternal almighty God speaking in the hearts of his dear people. But how does he come down to their level?

[44:11] And how does he draw near to them? Not in the majesty and glory and holiness of Sinai.

[44:22] But as we read here in the beauty and glory of his revelation. The Lord, the Lord God merciful and gracious.

[44:36] I've ever felt that here we have the words of the Lord Jesus Christ. A revelation of the eternal God to man in his dear Son.

[44:51] Here we see the Lord speaking to his dear servant Moses in an hour of great need. I would speak for a moment about the reality of that need.

[45:07] In the deep mystery of God's sovereign purposes. He permitted to take place that solemn scene at Sinai.

[45:20] The worship of the golden calf. When Moses came down to the mountain and saw it. He was crushed. Broken. As he saw Aaron and the solemn scene that met his eyes.

[45:33] He cast the stones and broke them. And the dear man of God we know. At the burning bush. He had a sense and realization.

[45:45] Of what could happen. When the Lord called him to lead Israel out of Egypt. And to the promised land. And he shied from that work.

[45:57] He felt that he could not take it on. He did take it on. And he knew something.

[46:10] Of the solemnity of it. He saw the glory of God at the Red Sea. When the waters divided. And we see the dear man of God.

[46:23] Feeling the sweetness of the presence of his God. Standing before those waters. Stand still he said. And see the salvation of the Lord.

[46:36] For the Lord will fight for you. And ye shall hold your peace. The Lord said unto Moses. Why criest thou unto me? His heart was going up to his God.

[46:49] He was wrestling with his God to appear. And the Lord did appear. So remarkably. The Lord said to him.

[47:01] Command the children of Israel. They go forward. And in that impasse. With the cloudy pillar ahead of him. And the pillar of fire behind him.

[47:12] He went forward. To those waters. And raised his star. All how he knew. The presence of his God. Mighty. Presence of the God of Jacob with him.

[47:25] Leading him forth by the right way. That he might go to a city of habitation. Then. As they crossed. And saw the destruction of the Egyptians.

[47:38] He sang that. Glorious song of triumph. In his God. But he wasn't long before. He came to the bitter waters of Marah. And the children of Israel.

[47:49] That stiff necked people. Rose up against him again. And. And. Longed to go back to Egypt. Why had he brought them back.

[48:00] Then. He knew. That he had a cross. All the. Remaining days. That he was to lead them to the promised land. And that he.

[48:11] As he came to Sinai. That the man of God. Had such a realization. Of the solemnity of the work. That was laid upon his shoulders.

[48:24] And as the weight. Deepened in his soul. Under experience of it. And the burden became heavier. He felt.

[48:36] In the. Solemn nature of the work. That Lord had given him. That he couldn't go forward. Without the presence of the Lord. And.

[48:48] He. Desired. The Lord. To. Draw near. And come. And seal his heart. With a sweet token.

[48:59] And the Lord drew near. And he spoke. This. Precious promise. Into his. Dear servant's heart. When we look.

[49:11] At the. Nature of this. Promise. The beauty. And blessedness of it. First. We would desire. To. Look at the giving of it.

[49:24] And then. At the. Presence. Of God. That is spoken of here. And then at the rest. The blessed rest. That is spoken of here.

[49:36] And he say. Oh the. Giving of this promise. To his dear servant. Has the. The Lord.

[49:46] Has. Ever brought you. Into a pathway. Where. You have. Needed. A promise from him.

[49:58] Where. All your strength. Has been taken away. Where you. Could not. Go on. Without him. Oh the Lord.

[50:11] Has a. Way of mercy. In. Bringing his dear people. Down. To their knees. I heard. One.

[50:21] Say only. Today. What a sad. Sight. It is. And what a sad. Thing. It is. That. God's dear. Children. Need.

[50:31] To be brought. Into. Some solemn. Low. Places. Before they. Ever come. Too long. And wrestle. To have a promise. From the Lord. The sealing.

[50:43] Of his spirit. In the heart. God. But. The Lord. In his gracious. Mercy. Does see fit.

[50:54] And we have it. In the case of Job. The Lord. Saw fit. In a remarkable way. To bring his dear servant. Into such.

[51:05] Circumstances. In his pathway. That he would make him. Grown. And wrestle. With his God. The Lord. Desired. To know.

[51:18] To hear. The wrestling prayers. Of his dear servant. And he brought him down. In most solemn depth. And it all began. With the.

[51:30] Words of God in heaven. To Satan. Hast thou considered. My servant Job. And mark this. In the deep. Solemnity. Of the path. Into which he came.

[51:41] Into the solemn. Sufferings. Of body. And soul. And mind. And family. And circumstances. Into which the Lord. Brought his dear servant. The Lord's object.

[51:56] Was to bring. Job. To long. For Christ. To long. To walk. With his redeemer.

[52:06] And bring him. And bring him. There he did. As he bowed him. Down and down. And down. And down. In the depths. Of weakness.

[52:16] And pain. And suffering. And suffering. And ignominy. And brought his dear servant. And down. To a place. Where he said.

[52:27] Oh. Beautiful word. Oh. That my words. Were written in a book. Oh. That they were engraved.

[52:37] With. Lead. With iron in the rock. Forever. And lead. For I know. That my. Redeemer liveth. The Lord.

[52:50] So wrought. In the. Heart. Of his dear servant. That he brought him. Into sweet. Union. And fellowship. And communion. With himself.

[53:01] And it is the Lord's purposes. The thorns. In the flesh. The dear apostle Paul. In that thorn. In the flesh. And we're not told. What it is.

[53:12] Nor are we told. How it affected him. We're not told. To. Anything about it. Except. That.

[53:23] Given for life. Never to be taken away. And yet. It was to be the means. In God's hand. The divine instrument.

[53:34] In. God's purposes. To lead. His dear servant. Into that. Solemn. And sacred. And awesome. Pathway. Most gladly.

[53:46] Therefore. Will I. Glory in mine infirmities. That. The power of Christ. Might. Rest. Upon me. A dear man of God. Was given grace.

[53:59] To take up his cross. And follow his God. To learn the. Heavenly lesson. When I'm weak. And you know.

[54:13] The greater. The greater. The greater. The weakness. The greater. The strength. Of Christ. Will be valued. And understood. The deeper.

[54:24] The furnace. Heated. Seven times. Hotter. The three men. In the fire. Kneel. The greater. Was their understanding. Of the presence. Of Christ.

[54:35] With them. In the furnace. The Lord. Heated. That furnace. Seven times. Hotter. That they might. Know. The blessedness. Of the words.

[54:46] Here before us. My presence. Christ. Walked. With them. In the furnace. And they would. Never. Have. Ever. Had. Such. A precious.

[54:58] Communion. With him. Had they. Not gone. Into that. Furnace. It was. Commensurate. With their. Sufferings. The sufferings.

[55:08] That they were. Called to pass through. The. Fierce. Fire. That. They were. Thrown into. There. They saw. The glory. Of Christ. In his.

[55:19] Almighty. Deliverance. So. That they came forth. Without the smell. Of. Fire. Upon them. There. The remainder. Of their days. They carried.

[55:30] The sweetness. Of. What it was. To walk in the. Light. Of his presence. And we see here. That Moses. Had. Ahead of him.

[55:41] A lifetime. Of conflict. And sorrow. And you know. As we look at it. He. Say.

[55:53] That word. Was written. By God. In his. Dear. Serpent. Heart. That word. Was. Spoken. In promise. To Moses. Alone. That word.

[56:04] Was given. To him. But as recorded. In the scriptures. Of truth. It is put there. That the church. Of Christ. In her need. May be a recipient.

[56:16] Of this same promise. In her hour of need. And you know. Just as Jacob. Leant upon his staff. In his dying hour.

[56:27] And blessed. Ephraim. In Manasseh. And could truly say. Of his Lord. A Lord. That redeemed me. From all evil. Bless the land. So Moses.

[56:39] Leant upon this staff. Just as dear old Jacob. Leant upon the promise. Of Bethel. I'll be with thee. In all places. Whithersoever thou goest.

[56:50] And I will not leave thee. So. Moses. Had this. Precious word. For. For. The. Whole of his lifetime.

[57:03] It was a staff. To be leaned upon. As he. Journey. And you know. It is a staff. Of. Immense. Magnitude.

[57:15] It is indeed. Given. Forever and ever. Never to be taken away. Spoken. With divine power.

[57:26] Into the soul. Written. Indelibly there. And. It is to be used. And he said. I do ask you here. Tonight.

[57:36] What. Has the Lord. Has the Lord. Spoken to you. What. Promise. Do you hope. You have got.

[57:48] What has he said. To you in your life. Where. Can you go back. 10. 20. 30. 40 years.

[57:59] Where did the Lord. Give you. The first promise. In your heart. Trace it out. Where did he speak. To you in your soul.

[58:09] A word. Of sweet promise. Oh look there. I think. As I say this. Tonight. Of Abraham.

[58:25] As he came down. From Mount Moriah. Having endured. A most solemn conflict.

[58:35] All his religion. Laid upon the. Altar of sacrifice. All his promises. Laid there. Neen in thy seed.

[58:49] Shall all the nations. Of the earth. Be blessed. Here was the seed. Laid on the altar. A Isaac was there. But oh. He raised the knife.

[59:00] Over everything he had. In his heart. And he went. In obedience. To God's command. And he saw.

[59:12] The ram caught. In the thicket. And he heard. The voice of his God. Staying his hand. In the knife. But he walked that way. In implicit obedience.

[59:25] But I think. As he descended. After that severe. Conflict. Of the word. Of his God. Do you know. As he raised the knife.

[59:36] Over that. Those promises. God had given him. He received. Such a glorious. Divine blessing.

[59:47] As he left that man. It was there. In blessing. That. Bitter cup. The knife over Isaac.

[60:00] And the Lord said. In blessing. What had happened. Why. The Lord Jesus Christ. Had. Said himself. Abraham. Saw my day.

[60:12] In the. Furnace. Of his. Trial. Of his. Faith. He had seen. Christ. On Sinai. He had seen.

[60:24] He had seen him there. In all the glory. That shines out here. In that revelation. That. Was given to Moses. The Lord. The Lord God. Merciful.

[60:35] Gracious. Long suffering. He had seen. The. Shed blood. Of the Lamb of God. And the Lord said. In blessing. The. Pathways.

[60:48] Of God. Dear. Church. Crippling. As they are. Crucifying. As they are. This. Avenue. To fellowship.

[61:00] With Christ. In his. Suffering. Is the path. He would. Bring his. Dear people. Into his. Presence. My.

[61:11] Presence. You see. Moses. Had ahead of him. Most solemn. Days yet. Soul. Searching. Day. Bitter.

[61:22] Afflictions. Lay. In the. Pathway. To the promised land. And in his own. Soul. As you know. In. Striking.

[61:33] The rock. Instead of. Speaking to it. The Lord. Chastened. His dear servant. So that he was. Not allowed. In time. To enter. The promised land.

[61:46] The Lord. Dealt. With his dear servant. But. He. He said. Unto me. My. Presence.

[61:57] Shall. Go. With me. And we've come now. To look at this. Word. My. Presence. Oh.

[62:07] What a solemn. What a solemn. Vital. Necessary. Part. Of our souls.

[62:18] Experience. Is this. That we. Should know. His presence. Here below. That we.

[62:29] Should. Walk. With him. And have union. And. Communion. With him. It's very. Simply. Put here.

[62:40] You know. I. Have been struck. In reading. This word. Moses. Went on. To say. To the Lord. After the Lord. Had spoken.

[62:50] This word. To him. He said. If thy presence. Go not. With me. Carry us. Not up hence. Then he went on. To say this. Wherein. Shall it be known.

[63:01] Here. That I. And thy people. Have found grace. In thy sight. Is it not. In that thou. Goest with us. So. Shall we.

[63:11] Be separated. I. And thy people. From all the people. That are upon the face. Of the earth. Two. Glorious. Grand. Hallmarks.

[63:23] Of the children. Of God. That Moses. Saw his. Is it not. In. That thou. Goest with us. One. That is it.

[63:35] The Lord. Went. With them. They knew. His. Sacrobation. They knew. His. Presence. They knew. His.

[63:45] Love. They knew. His. Mercy. They knew. What Moses. Spoke of. In his dying hour. Underneath. Ah. The everlasting.

[63:56] Arms. And the eternal. God is. Thy. Refuge. There was a glorious. Reality. In it. He that dwelleth. In the.

[64:07] Secret. Place. Of the most. High. Shall abide. Under the. Shadow. Of the almighty. I will say. Of the Lord. He is my.

[64:18] Refuge. My strength. My God. In him. Will I trust. And we see. Here. The. Other. Glorious. Aspect.

[64:28] Of. His presence. It is. In their walk. Beautiful word. They are. A separated. People. Are you.

[64:40] You. Separated. From this world. Blessed. Mercy. If. Affliction. Has done it. Solemn.

[64:51] Well. To separate you. From this world. And you. Stand here. Under this glorious. Hallmark. Of a child. Of God. Separated.

[65:01] To himself. Beautiful word. I and thy people. Are. Separated. From all the people. That are upon the face.

[65:12] Of the earth. And is it not in that thou. Goest with us. Here. Is the beauty. Of this word. Before us tonight.

[65:23] And he. Says. My. Presence. Oh. Is it not. That thou. Goest with us. I do ask you.

[65:34] Look back. Over life's journey. Look back. To the day. When the Lord. Called you. By his grace. And the Lord. Called me. Out of the world. It was with this word.

[65:46] Come out. From among them. Be separate. Touch not. The unclean thing. And I will receive you. Oh.

[65:57] There was. Such authority. In that command. When it entered my heart. The call. Of God. The effectual call.

[66:07] Of God. Is like. The voice. Of the Lord. To Elijah. In the cave. Comes not. In the wind. Or the earthquake.

[66:18] Or the fire. But he comes. In the. Still. Small. Voice of God. And he speaks. With authority. And how vital. That our confession.

[66:32] Of him. Entails. A call. That separates us. From this world. That lies in wickedness. And calls us.

[66:44] To follow him. My presence. When his. Blessed presence. Is known. Then.

[66:56] There. Is a gracious effect. There. Is a change. Wrought. There is a separation. From this world.

[67:07] And then. Is it not. In that thou. Goest. With us. All. Have God's dear people. Are called. In that hour.

[67:18] To put their hand. Into the hand of God. And go out. Into the dark. The unknown. Future of life. And. To rest.

[67:29] In. His dear. Strength. And. To hear. His voice. And. To receive. His precious promises.

[67:40] Again. And again. And. To come. Into the deep waters. That are spoken of. In the 107th. Psalm. They wandered. In the wilderness.

[67:51] In a solitary way. At the path. Of God's dear church. Hungry and thirsty. Their soul fainted in them. And then.

[68:02] They cried unto the Lord. But. For such. Who are brought. To this pathway.

[68:14] There is comfort. For. Oh. If thy presence. Go not with us. Said Moses. Carry us not up in. He longed.

[68:26] For the presence. Of his God. All his journeys through. The sweet. Felt. Presence.

[68:36] Of his God. Its comfort. Oh. Do you long for it? In. Deepest affliction.

[68:50] His presence. Enabled. His dear church. To endure. In the deep. Waters of affliction.

[69:02] His presence. Takes. All fear away. His presence. In the. Crucifying pathways. That he has ordained.

[69:13] Is the blessed. Means. By which. They are enabled. To take up their. Craft. And follow him.

[69:27] They are utterly unable. To take up that craft. Without. His mighty divine strength. And his presence.

[69:38] And look at the. Beauty of this. And the remarkable. Nature of it. My presence. Shall.

[69:49] Go. With thee. And you know. That was. In every. Particle of the pathway. To the end.

[70:00] Of his journey. The Lord. Wrote. This. Glorious. Promise. Into his soul. That. His presence. Would ever be with him.

[70:12] And mark him. The presence of God. To comfort him. But the presence of God. To teach him. The presence of his God. To rebuke him.

[70:23] The presence of his God. To chasten him. Yet. The presence of his God. To keep him. And the presence of his God. To take him down. Into the.

[70:35] Swellings of Jordan. And to land him. Safely in glory. That glorious presence. Would never leave him. Hymn writer says. In thy presence.

[70:46] I'm happy. In thy presence. I'm secure. Very solemn. Awesome words. In thy presence.

[70:58] All affliction. I can easily endure. Oh. To be brought. To know the.

[71:10] Presence. Of the. Eternal. Son of God. Daniel knew it. In the lion's den. When he.

[71:22] Said. My God. Has sent. His angel. And has shut. The lion's den. He walked. In the. Sweet presence.

[71:33] Of his God. And here. We see. The. Path. In which. The Lord. Would bring.

[71:44] His dear. Church. Into. Fellowship. With him. In his suffering. Oh. That. Solemn path. That. The apostle. Paul.

[71:54] Prayed for. That I might. Know him. And the power. Of his resurrection. Having. Fellowship. With him. In his suffering. Being made.

[72:05] Conformable. Unto his death. Those. Are. Deep waters. And in the. Second epistle. To the Corinthians. And the. Twelve. Chapter.

[72:17] The apostle. There. Lists. All his. Catalogue. Of suffering. Sorrows. Thrice. Beaten. With wrath. Stone. A day.

[72:27] And a night. In the deep. And a whole. Catalogue. Of suffering. Sorrows. And affliction. Have affliction. Laid.

[72:38] Upon his. Lord. That he might. Have fellowship. With Christ. In his. Suffering. We cannot. Measure. The purposes.

[72:50] Of God. And what. Deep waters. He will bring. His dear. Church. Into. That she. Might. Know. And walk. With him.

[73:01] In his presence. What. Path. Has he brought. You into. I can say. Here tonight. He has brought me.

[73:13] At least. On one occasion. Face. To face. With an ever. Ending. Eternity. While I waited. A biopsy.

[73:26] For what the consultant. Thought. Could be a malignant. Ulster. In my. Throat. For ten days. I watched. And waited. As to what. Hung in the balance.

[73:38] My life. And eternity. Before me. Then. To enter. Into a sweet. Fellowship. With Christ. And to come.

[73:48] To the place. That he brought me to. And it was there. He that is washed. Needeth not. Save to wash his feet. And is clean every whit. And ye are clean.

[73:59] Through the word. That I have spoken. Unto you. The Lord. Sees fit. In glorious. Divine. Sovereignty. To prepare the path.

[74:12] Of his dear church. To have sweet. Union. And communion. And fellowship. With him. The steps. Of a good man. Are ordered. By the Lord.

[74:22] And he delighted. In his way. Why? Because he has. Fellowship with Christ. The way of God. Is the. Way. To fellowship. With him. The way of suffering.

[74:33] Sorrow. Is the way. To sweet. Union. And communion. With him. And. We see it here. My presence. Shall go with me.

[74:44] There was to be. A lifetime. In Moses life. Of. Affliction. And trial. And sorrow. And.

[74:56] Deep waters. But in it. He was to have. Sweet. Fellowship. With Christ. And to enter into the glorious revelation. That the Lord gave him. The Lord.

[75:07] The Lord God. Yes. Sovereign. We must learn it. We must walk out those words. He is. Sovereign in our lives. He orders our footsteps.

[75:20] But then to come. Into the glory of this truth. His presence. To know it. In its sweetness. Merciful.

[75:31] You are out of a deserved hell. Merciful. Oh. Gracious.

[75:42] Long suffering. The hymn writer says. Sin. Against. The holy God. Sin.

[75:53] Against. His love. His blood. Sin. Immense. As is the sea. Hide me. Oh. Gethsemane. The Lord will.

[76:04] Bring his dear people down. To know something of his presence. Gracious. Long suffering. Abundant in goodness and truth. Keeping mercy for thousands.

[76:16] To giving iniquity. Transgression. And sin. Why. We know his presence. When he draws near.

[76:27] With his rich. Atoning love and blood. And he pours it. Upon our souls. As a. Healing balm.

[76:38] And he raises up a. Precious hope. In our heart. And he seals. This blessed truth in our souls. My presence. Dear friends.

[76:50] It is here. In the atonement. In reconciliation. Between the sinner. And the holy God. That his presence comes.

[77:02] He. Says the. Apostle John. Is the propitiation. For our. Sins. He has. Removed the. Wrath of his father. From our souls.

[77:14] Forever. And has washed them. In his atoning. Love and blood. And mark this. The place. Of propitiation. Is the mercy.

[77:24] See. The blood. Sprinkled. Mercy. See. There. Is the place. Of propitiation. And in the. Souls. Of his dear people.

[77:35] The blood. Of. Jesus Christ. His son. Cleanseth us. From all sin. My presence. Shall. Go.

[77:46] With thee. And. I will. Give thee rest. And that. Has been written.

[78:00] Into the souls. Of his. Poor children. Do you long. For rest. Oh. Do you long.

[78:11] For that. Glorious. Eternal rest. Which is. Spoken of. By the apostle. In the Hebrews. There. Remaineth. Therefore.

[78:22] A rest. A rest. To the. Children of God. God.

[78:32] Does. Separate. For one. Sole reason. From this world. His children. He.

[78:44] Separates. From the world. And he. Separates. Them. To himself. He wants. Them alone. He. Needs. Them. They are.

[78:54] The fullness. Of him. That filleth. All in all. What a glorious. Truth that is. We shall. Never. Comprehend. How could. The church.

[79:06] Of God. Fallen. And ruined. Sinners. Be the fullness. Of him. That filleth. All in all. Yet he is. And he will. Separate them.

[79:16] And he separates. Them. For himself. He wants. Them. His. Prayer. At the conclusion.

[79:28] Of the last supper. Recorded in the 17th of John. Was this. That they all may be one. I in them.

[79:39] And now in me. That they may be one in us. And his prayer was this. That they may behold his glory. And you know.

[79:54] As we look at this. Tonight. We see here. Give thee rest. Yeah. Moses came in the rest of faith.

[80:08] In the dying hour. To say there is none. Like. Unto the God of death. Surely. The right is upon the heaven. In thy help. And in his excellency.

[80:19] Upon the sky. The eternal God. Is thy refuge. And underneath. Are the everlasting arms. And you know. We see that dear servant of Christ.

[80:34] Standing. With Elijah. And Peter. And James. And John. In the Christ day. Here below. Upon the mount. Of the transfiguration.

[80:46] Communing with Christ. Regarding his death. Or what a sight. We have. That. Glorious presence.

[80:57] Through the vicarious death. Of Christ. That blessed truth. That was revealed to him. As the angel of death. Passed over in Egypt. And the Passover. Was instituted.

[81:09] And that glorious truth. When I see the blood. I'll pass over you. The prayer of the. Sweet psalmist of Israel. Wash me. Purge me.

[81:22] The cry was for the blood. With hyssop. The very. Plant that was used. In the sprinkling of the blood. Oh. How. We see here.

[81:32] My presence. It centers. Upon the redeeming. Love and blood of Christ. Known in the heart. Of dear Moses. And we read of this. In the epistle of Paul.

[81:44] To the Hebrews. The beginning of the work. In his dear heart. Esteeming. The reproach. Of Christ. Greater riches.

[81:54] Than the treasures of Egypt. For he had respect. Under the recompense. Of the reward. He looked to heaven. Even in those days. In Egypt. He had a sight.

[82:05] Of glory. And as the Lord. Said to Abraham. I am thy shield. And thy exceeding. Great reward. These dear men of God.

[82:18] Look. To this. Glorious rest. I do ask you here tonight. What do you know of the. Three parts of this.

[82:29] Blessed day. What. Has God. Spoken to you. Have you. Known his. Present. Here below.

[82:40] In your heart. What. Of the promises. Has he given you. Where. How has he led you. Into his precious blood.

[82:52] And his glorious. Pardoning nature. In your soul. And. What do you know.

[83:03] For this. Blessed rest. The Lord. Spoke it to Moses. I will. Give thee rest. Not. Rest.

[83:14] From sorrow here. Not rest. From suffering here. Not. A human rest. But a. Glorious. Rest. In heaven.

[83:27] Who are thee. And whence came they. These are thee. Which came out. Of great tribulation. God measured this. And have made.

[83:42] Their robes. White. In the blood of the lamb. And therefore. Are they before thee. Throne of God. And they. Worship him. Day and night. In his temple.

[83:54] Tim writer says this. Rest. In Christ. I. I. I. Fain would have. Oh. The Lord. Lead you. Into these.

[84:07] Sacred truths. Give you to know. These sweet. Substances of them. Apply his. Sacred promise. In your heart. And then.

[84:19] You will be like. His dear servant. When he said. I'm now ready. Ready. To depart. To be with Christ.

[84:30] Which is far better. Ready to say. For me. To live is Christ. And to die is gain. The Lord. Delighten your darkness.

[84:41] And lead you. Into the. Precious hope. That. Is in the gospel. The sacred. Rock like foundation. To stand upon it.

[84:54] And. To be enabled. To wait. For his.

[85:06] Coming. My. And he said. My. Presence. Shall go with thee. And I. Will. Give thee.

[85:17] Rest. Amen. Let's conclude.

[85:35] By singing. Hymn number. One hundred and forty three. Rock. Of ages. Cleft. For me. Let me hide.

[85:46] Myself. In thee. Let thee. Water and the blood. From thy. Ribbon side. Which flowed. Be of sin. The double cure.

[85:58] Cleanse me. From its guilt. And. The power. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen.

[86:08] Amen. Amen. Amen.

[86:32] Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Like the water and the water, down the river's shining water, he'll save and hold you.

[89:22] In the arms I have been told. For I will be the end of the Lord for me.

[89:37] Let me die, I shall believe. For I will be the end of the Lord for me.
