Reading plus sermon, gap after 29 mins where tape was turned over. Evening service also available.
[0:00] May the Lord now help us in reading a few verses from Psalm 116 and then Psalm 117 and 118.
[0:17] Commence reading from Psalm 116, the 12th verse.
[0:31] Before we begin to read the word of God together for some afternoon, I feel it necessary that we might remember we are gathered together today.
[0:47] With the desire to recognize the goodness and the mercy of God to His people here.
[0:59] Now recognition really means an act of recognizing. And our desire is that we may have this first and foremost in our desires today.
[1:17] That unto him shall the gathering of the people be. So we commence then to read in Psalm 116, the 12th verse.
[1:32] And then continuing with Psalm 117, 118. What shall I render unto the Lord for all His benefits toward me?
[1:53] I will take the cup of salvation and call upon the name of the Lord. I will pay my vows unto the Lord now in the presence of all His people.
[2:14] Precious in the sight of all His people. Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints. O Lord, truly I am thy servant.
[2:28] I am thy servant and the son of thine handway. Thou hast loosed my bond.
[2:40] I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving. And will call upon the name of the Lord.
[2:52] I will pay my vows unto the Lord now in the presence of all His people.
[3:03] In the courts of the Lord's house. In the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Praise ye the Lord.
[3:18] O praise the Lord, all ye nations. Praise Him, all ye people.
[3:30] For His merciful kindness is great toward us. And the truth of the Lord endureth forever.
[3:44] Praise ye the Lord. O give thanks unto the Lord. For He is good, because His mercy endureth forever.
[4:00] Let Israel now say that His mercy endureth forever. Let the house of Aaron now say that His mercy endureth forever.
[4:19] Let them now that fear the Lord say that His mercy endureth forever. I call upon the Lord in distress.
[4:34] The Lord answered me and set me in a large place. The Lord is on my side.
[4:45] I will not fear what can man do unto me. The Lord take my part with them that help me.
[4:58] Therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me. It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.
[5:14] It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes. For nations compass me about.
[5:28] But in the name of the Lord will I destroy them. They compass me about. Yea, they compass me about.
[5:39] My feet. For they are quenched as the fire of thorns.
[5:54] For in the name of the Lord I will destroy them. Thou hast thrust forth at me that I might fall.
[6:06] But the Lord help me. The Lord is my strength and song. And is to come my salvation.
[6:19] The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous. The right hand of the Lord do it valiantly.
[6:32] I shall not die but live and declare the works of the Lord.
[6:50] The Lord hath chastened me sore. But he hath not given me over unto death. Open to me the gates of righteousness.
[7:03] I will go into them. And I will praise the Lord. For now hast heard me.
[7:23] And I will become my salvation. The stone which the builders refuse. Is become the headstone of the corner.
[7:38] This is the Lord's building. It is marvelous in our eyes. This is the day which the Lord hath made.
[7:52] We will rejoice and be glad in it. The other words ofical Höruhs this run over the Augen.
[8:06] The pter bajgter Storm is the beginning. Love and act Noah 7. Magin Panaman 7, Phelan 6. Mar provinces the spangling breve Jemplo 5. Will bend the hooks and Voy customized by Tom.
[8:18] projects the King神 in heaven. The gate rappelle sums up the horizon. You will see the wind with the Goodman and his Tucker. The gate하신 which hath shown us night.
[8:31] Bind the sacrifice with cause even unto the fallenness of the altar.
[8:41] Thou art my God, and I will praise thee. Thou art my God, I will exalt thee.
[8:53] O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good, for his mercy and fury forever.
[9:07] May the Lord bless, to ask his own sacred word, may he help us now in prayer. 24.
[9:27] Psalm 100, and other angels, when he met with 24. This is the day which the Lord hath known, we will rejoice and be glad in it.
[9:53] It is the day which the Lord hath known, we will rejoice and be glad in it.
[10:07] So I would have answered that, in such an invasion of this, that we might look back, over the years, that the history of this whole truth.
[10:27] and therefore, I have put down just a few brief facts, concerning this place, and that which the Lord hath been trained to bring to pass.
[10:51] And I hope that he so seen, that we may, feelingly realise, that it is the day, which the Lord hath known, we will rejoice, and be found in it.
[11:09] This temple, we are found in the afternoon, is not the original, or the third, building, that started in its place.
[11:29] The third temple, was built in 1882, we were formed now, in a wondrous way, we are told, the revealed to the Lord, so exorcised, and brought to damnedest, in secret before him, that they might see, on him, a wrong way for them, for their liberal life, and the world hath been taken, and the world hath been taken, for their liberal ones, to draw their substance.
[12:11] And the first pastor, of this, the cause, and it was then, from a man, with a name of Thomas Humphrey, who was raised up, among, his own people, and who served them, for fifteen years, as their own chapters.
[12:35] The third, the godly pastor, was then, taken away from, and from them, the Lord evidently, being English.
[12:48] The second pastor, whose name, was William Fuller, ministered, in the old chapel, from 1797, to 1729, period of thirty-two years.
[13:03] And then, the next, name that is mentioned, concerning the pastor, the man, with the name of Thomas Daniel, We are told, nothing really, of him, but we do know this, according to the mental, that nothing, the pastor, encamped upon that time.
[13:31] And then, the next, the name of Thomas Daniel, the name of Thomas Daniel, and the name of Thomas Daniel, and the name of Thomas Daniel, Flickman, and the next, really, is over a period, of ah, ah, uh, almost, one hundred and sixty years.
[13:57] and hearing, at that time, in eighteen, eighty-seven, a New Campbell, that, ah, ah, ful.
[14:10] one is the mantle in the hand of God to bring about the building of this present chapel.
[14:21] Now I realise that we are not met together today for a pathetic purpose with regard to this building.
[14:33] I felt it was the need to mention this to reveal how many, many years this court has been passed to us.
[14:48] A very long period. There is one further point of interest to myself personally and I know to have here been and founded to have been given into the pastures.
[15:07] Now I suppose that out of the year 1817 Mr Henry Francis who was the first pastor of Roseburg Santa Hitchfork was given a call to be the pastor here.
[15:27] And at the same time received that invitation upon his own temple. He was now projected for the Holy Spirit to accept that invitation.
[15:44] The Lord maintained them for over 40 years at his thorns and blessing his labours abundantly.
[15:55] So without a field to be in the country remarked, I do promise that we may hold feelingly calm.
[16:06] We need the Holy Spirit divine help in there. And yet, as we are met together today, it is.
[16:18] We need the Holy Spirit with that feeling, with that feeling, with that knowledge in our hearts that the Lord has indeed brought his thorns in the air.
[16:31] And yet, as we are told, let's hope that the Lord has indeed brought his thorns. And so, there are things through which the Lord himself has accomplished, the Son has indeed taken.
[16:50] And so, there is a change in the air. And we mention that the commandment. The true meaning of recognition is an act of recognizing.
[17:02] It means to acknowledge. It means to acknowledge what the Lord has done and that to emphasize, the things so important.
[17:17] You cannot yet thank the Lord's favor and blessing without it. it is to own what the Lord himself has been seen to bring to come.
[17:35] Now I will come, if the Lord tells men, to this word, and there is of course such meaning that we may practice this verse with a brief singing verse, but this is the Lord still. It is marvellous in our life.
[18:02] I have to say anything further really. And yet on the other hand, there are times to speak, there are times to be silent, there are those occasions when we need help to make no history among the people.
[18:29] It is that that we have come with today. And there might be that feeding in the hearts of fans assembled, as the widest speaker stands in such a position as it's today, there is an answer.
[18:51] That we would humbly own that knowledge before God. Almost four years ago, now we had to come to do this, call the truth, with the ninth verse, the third chapter of the book of John.
[19:14] And on that day, the Lord so made in our hearts, the exercise concerning pastors, these texts over the class.
[19:33] I have not had the famous hearing before of him, in the same way. But in one year on that occasion, the Lord so dealt with life.
[19:48] Particularly in the evening of the service, that we truly wondered, how much longer our life would be spared, such of the burden upon our heart we now described our feelings on that occasion.
[20:06] But there was this burden, that the Lord would fulfill in Zion, that that he was paid to do in the life of Moses and Joshua.
[20:22] Moses, raised up by God, to be a leader over his feet. and when his work was finished, the Lord raising up Joshua, and he told his interest, to remember him, to help him to return.
[20:49] He knows this, and he came to the whole tent. And even this was an encouragement, that the Bible was opening, on this very page, where the word is mentioned here, that the Lord had not, I commanded you, be strong, and of good courage, be not afraid, neither be thou exclaimed, for the Lord thy God is with thee, with us however thou art.
[21:23] and not, I commanded you. And how the Lord was pleased, to use his own work, he would empathize it, he was pleased to use his own work, he would empathize it, he was pleased to use his own work, cause him, to be gone, to have free cause, and the three glory times, on that earth.
[21:52] And the Lord in exercising, his people here, and his soul, to be the link, in courage, that has brought them, to be the punch of our faith.
[22:09] to be the Lord, to be the Lord, to be the Lord, to be the Lord, to be the Lord, in our arms.
[22:20] With that answer, of all, and I hope the Lord will do, as I have mentioned it, I see, once before, the way in which the Lord is pleased to bring on, with that word, on that particular page.
[22:43] But once, as we've talked, and raised a word, it's gone to the family. The parents, the adults, mothers, mothers, children.
[22:59] Very important thing, the family also is, the family. And on that particular page, there are two parts, the strong line of the Spirit, and we do not believe, in the first nine verses, the first chapter of the book of John.
[23:21] And as we make those verses, we have counted, that means, the Lord had unknown, the experience of the life. And God's reward, in fact, the next church, the world, the reason, does have got peace, on the coming, on the coming, the faculty of that, wouldn't?
[23:46] And so we have time, the Lord, the Lord, the Lord, he's still that, those, who's down here, around the family, all, not you.
[24:00] but have only this, my dear worthy We know not.
[24:29] It's no easy thing to continue in faith in the past and in fact we will be finally by the whole world.
[24:41] So we will help you to get to this. The time we have come, my world shall not return unto evil, we do not ask what the Lord might be, which in his own, most precious words, be promised to me.
[25:04] There is a day which the Lord has made. We will be God and be planning.
[25:20] Well then, may we know that it's true in our mind.
[25:32] It would be right to say that your mighty God has made every night, every day.
[25:47] And how the faithfulness of God has been continued from the beginning. And were the Lord spoke to his servant Noah, we might venture to turn to it for a moment, that we might very feelingly consider the faithfulness of God to his people.
[26:17] And Noah built an altar unto the Lord, and took of every clean breach and of every clean spell, and offered their offerings on the wall.
[26:34] And the Lord now will be preached to him. And the Lord said in his heart, I will not attain just the ground any more than man's face.
[26:46] For the imagination of man's heart is evil from his will. Neither will I attain my day more than the thing living as I have done.
[26:57] While the earth is known, the night, and sea time, and hour, cold, and heat, and summer, and winter, and day, and night, shall not think of faithful Israel.
[27:17] How is it promised? How is it promised? The four sinful men have been fulfilled, who had any way to do that?
[27:28] And if we have ever been saved, the scum and the poor and the hills, the bow, the gong, continuous old family, Christian timber almost as he was born in one sep him of two hundred years.
[27:46] And now we can look for itself, where our hand is motivated for the recovery of God to fight for the 2nd century. A second word does not Kita Gong. But there was nothing there but do that. The금 to the coast in heaven. This is not gonna say for the most modern всего.
[28:01] And that is why did we have time for the supreme assembly of Father. The entendu, a third word of魔ic literally is called Father Jesus. Our Lord called Father Jesus. And why did we call Jesus Christ the holy house of He are there? Is he less fearing to those who the Lord will met?
[28:18] They are sacred in their eyes from time to time. Do you know something that the proof conveys in this world?
[28:29] Today, which the Lord has made, we will rejoin. Don't you see that in? So the Lord tells us to continue.
[28:48] When the Lord has a sovereign purposeful care, he will must surely become.
[29:01] We must think for a moment of the providential and the peace of the Lord has made us. We must think for a moment of the providential mercy and goodness of God to be patient.
[29:21] The Lord is righteous to all, he's tender mercy to other all he's worth. And yet, as I was in the Lord, has a purpose of life to more.
[29:38] How he's done with it, O children. His mercy, his goodness, his goodness, his favor. So life is considered extra and for a moment.
[29:51] And I would ask you to question, How do they not die in your arms? You are very faintly, God, that the Lord is not. How do they not die in your arms?
[30:03] How do they not die in your arms? You are very faintly, God, that the Lord is not.
[30:20] When you are being challenged, when you are being made aware of the sovereignty of God, in your purpose and the right.
[30:34] In your confidential heart, do you see me? If we should be taken back to the start of the new, thy holy will, to our joyhood.
[30:47] Those earthly things in our darkness. And of well in the east, we appointed God.
[31:00] The day in which the Lord's hand of praise. If some of us here, the dawn of the moon, we look back.
[31:14] So remember how the Lord was pleased to make the world a moment for a time. And our early life, we get to the spirit of this.
[31:33] When we are honest, the truth of this world is the very which the Lord was known. And even this father, he looked back, he was being brought by the Lord to consider that his name.
[31:49] The heaven of the Lord has been overcome. Has he now come? The thing that the Lord has brought forth to the honour and praise, his holy name, may you go here to start in the room, for looking back to your childhood, you will remember a spent all day, you may remember some spent all days, when you were favored even in early the day, you may want to sing the hand of Christ, and to recognize and to bow the force, and then we might go on just a bit, in the steps that we have been brought to take in our arms, and we've seen the Lord's hands, with that word that says this, the steps of a good man are all divine law, and he's acknowledged in this way.
[33:10] If you look back to God in service, I know the Lord brought me to claim access, I know the Lord was in that, I know that the Lord in James were free to manifest his favorite goodness, his goodness, his love being manifested also in charge, manifested in distress, manifested both in days of prosperity and days of adversities.
[33:50] in that old distress, when born and sin, our faith is a church, the Lord came in their life.
[34:02] In my mighty gentle relationships in life. In the day in the day of pain, the Lord gave me to my life, my helplessness. The Lord gave me. The Lord was pleased to do this.
[34:34] in the day of pain, and in such consideration, to be saved as even to remember, how the Lord was pleased to put forth his hands, to bring it to life.
[34:50] I can take you to a spot of ground, where our hope indeed was lifted up to the Lord in prayer and supplication, that he would guide our steps, that he would help us, and that he would reveal to our people.
[35:10] And so, in those things that the Lord had brought to come, in a proper gentle life, those steps in problems.
[35:26] That the Lord had brought to you, that it could be you? that the Lord'd point you in rather not blame upon you, that the Lord made things good for you.
[35:38] And the Lord saw have been called from and for and of the Lord had licked them up. And who's the Lord now has caused from men, how the Lord has led us?
[35:51] So are you looking back to God? So are you looking back to God? So are you looking back to God? So are you looking back to God? So are you looking back to God?
[36:03] So are you calling your family? But how do you have had you put the Lord in the name? And I'm not a thing of money that you would have shown. The Lord may have brought you in your sovereignty to walk in a completely different way than you were.
[36:20] It may have been some opposite to your desires, to your ways. But what a failure if we can try to do the Lord's hand in him.
[36:34] And also, if you're not even saying that the Lord has been with me. That the Lord has been my help. That the Lord has maintained us.
[36:46] The Lord has been with us. The Lord has maintained us. You've known occasions when, as it was with men and only wife, you've looked on and you've seen the angel of the Lord working for you.
[37:03] The Lord has been with us. Or there's something so humbling in us. The five of us who trust the hand of God. And we are able to try.
[37:16] I believe it is every example. He brought me with you. He brought me with you. I feel that in the Meteri incident.
[37:34] He spoke to me. Here is my leader, I'm telling you. To doom and you've signed us and leved us. They know that not all can look back in their lives and experience to be able to see of the day in which the Lord has seen to call them by His flesh.
[38:00] Not everyone knows. The day in the Lord alone knows how many in this splendor have stopped to know them and looking back in your arms and remember the day when the Lord first posted power to your side or when you were first made aware that you were nothing in yourself but a poor, hell-deserving sinner when you were brought into hell-dead before and holy, heart-searching God.
[38:50] Have we gracious everything in Jesus? But if looking back today in this respect in remembering all the ways which the Lord our God has been reached and be done and also the circumstances that the Lord may have used in our faith.
[39:13] that the Lord has been reached and said, that the Lord has spoken to us.
[39:25] He may have spoken silently. He may have spoken through one of His servants. He may have spoken through one of His servants. We will remember it. We shall remain. We shall remain.
[39:36] When the Lord was placed so straight into our hearts. And when we met that house of God, we shall remain. When the Lord was placed so straight into our hearts.
[39:47] And when we met that house of God, that witness within our hearts, that the Lord's cover, that the Lord's cover, and when this was used to bring us into gracious concern, with regard to our never-done suffering, from feeding His soul before our nature, and stood before the Lord, when we entered into the experience that is recorded, concerning the soul of the council, for behold, King Christ, who in man who, from you first began to cry, and the first friend rang to, now before the Lord, that it may well obey him that you, that you banished him, without obeying measure and vain place and conviction, as the public learned.
[40:55] And he went into the past. You remember how he learned. He could not lift up so much, as he died under heaven, but spoke upon his breath, saying, God, be merciful to me.
[41:14] I know that that has often been repeated, often been spoken, but friends, we have a big praise, that prayer from our hearts. It is the day, which the Lord, apparently, we will rejoin, and be glad in.
[41:38] And in our experience too, there would have been such days, days, wherein the Lord was pleased to be gracious, to our souls.
[41:53] Can you remember a day in your life, when the Lord so exercised your souls, and brought you into deep concern before him, in many, many days.
[42:08] Can you remember, a day in your life, a day of the death, a day of the death, a day when the Lord was pleased to manifest his faith in you?
[42:31] It may well have been, as you, friendly, enter into the hands of God. It may well have been, and you were in secret, or wherever it might have been, but at the same time, haven't been, such days in our lives.
[42:52] Wherein we could say this, the Lord blessed me then. Can you hear something, of what Jacob knew, the death of, the Lord meeting with you, the Lord coming to you, the Lord speaking to you, and giving you that revelation, of divine truth, into your very sight.
[43:15] And that place, became a sacred spot to Jacob. And so it is, in the experience of the Lord's people.
[43:27] You remember that the day came, in Jacob's life, in Jacob's life, and this was another special day, when the Lord said to him, O Rump, please go up to Bethel.
[43:38] The place where I met the earth. The place where I best be. The place where I met the earth. The place where I best be.
[43:54] O how have we been then, precious days in our lives. Can we remember also the day, wherein the Lord has pleased, for so calm, to bless our souls, that we have brought, healing me into this place.
[44:12] Come, and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare, what ye have done for my soul. I am sure there are those here, that will remember that day.
[44:27] Today you are in the Lord, so burdened your soul, that you could be silenced no longer. When you had to venture, to tell the king's household, what the Lord had done for your soul.
[44:44] What a day it was. And when indeed you found this, that the Lord had gone before you. When you found that there were those, in the church of God, that had been telling you, those that had been burdened to you, those that had been waiting for you to come.
[45:06] Oh, what sacred days. These are in the experience of Zion, when the Lord brings precious souls, to put on Christ by an open profession.
[45:22] When they must come. It all comes into my mind, so I don't mean to that. See, till, and beside this, this word, this is the day, which the Lord has made.
[45:41] We will rejoice, and be glad in it. But in a whole, I want to tell you, the Father and the Mother, and their daughter.
[45:52] And there was such an exercise. And presently, the Father came to say this to his daughter.
[46:05] You've something to tell, haven't you? You've something to tell. See, you're such a burden. Any of you have known something of this, you'll know the feeling.
[46:20] Now the Lord gives that Godly Father as a means to help his daughter, to acknowledge her.
[46:31] And that acknowledgement really was centered in the word of God, as we've already mentioned it. Come here, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he had done to my soul for one day.
[46:46] And those that spoke of this, and also mentioned the fact there was such a solemnity, such a sense of God's presence in their hearts.
[47:00] It is the day which the Lord has made. we will rejoice in the planning.
[47:11] Now the Lord's help will continue. As we come to a close this afternoon, we then use a mansion and so on both of them this.
[47:24] And we know that the Lord will send forth of the nine walls. The day of coming our sins and that the Lord begins to lay the burden of the ministry upon us.
[47:45] the Lord begins to lay the burden of the ministry now. The very Lord. The Lord has told me how he brings us to come.
[48:02] We say the Lord We say the Lord comes in a moment and He begins to lay the burden upon the hour.
[48:19] I remember that day night and night and the feelings for the company that the family that the family was at any one point that said this that the Lord is either preparing you for your ends or else for the next.
[48:42] And I had no thought whatsoever before that time of such a thing. But I can tell you how I felt. I felt that the Lord was preparing me for my ends.
[49:00] And I lived under that experience for that time of evening. And then I'm sure now in looking back that the Lord used that to win me from the world to take away my ambition and to bring me near himself.
[49:24] And then the day comes with those that the Lord has anointed and appointed to go forth to the consigned war.
[49:35] This is the day that the Lord has made we will rejoice and be glad in for what day that is when the Lord suddenly brings His servants to open their mouths and His holy names for the first time.
[49:54] The Lord brings it to come. And those had to bring it to come. And so constantly in the history of Zion I am persuaded there are those whom the Lord burdens to send in the mouth.
[50:11] And they find it presently that there have been those that have been exercised for them. Those that have been carrying them. And those that have been waiting before the Lord for such a day.
[50:25] And when it does come what a day it is. My servants let us hear this afternoon and I am sure we will indeed enter as the Lord who will help you into this thought.
[50:41] What a day it was in your mind when you first handily ventures before the people. And as you go this afternoon this is the day which the Lord hath made we will rejoice and be glad in and it is so concerning those whom the Lord will take over the Lord as an understanding.
[51:08] the Lord appoints those that he will send over as one. What a wonderful thought it is that the Lord having sovereignly appointed them he brings it to heart.
[51:21] He brings it to heart.
[51:34] He brings it to heart. Though the view in a gracious way it could be then said that the right man has been set over the not right.
[51:49] The Lord brings it to heart. the Lord and the Lord is pleased to give them this again and God will stop him. Amen.
