[0:30] Hymn 731, tune 141.
[0:46] Heal us, Emmanuel, here we are, waiting to feel thy touch.
[1:06] Deep wounded souls to thee repair, and Saviour we are such.
[1:24] Heal us, Emmanuel, here we are, waiting to feel thy touch.
[1:42] Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
[1:54] Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
[2:05] Thank you. Thank you. With trembling fog reveal Lord, come in vain With tears they cry Open me, I am ready Weилось to the sea All blessings and water This was found Where was the heart
[3:08] The princess and we find what might be bold.
[3:26] Like with woes and fears, we come to love without them.
[3:42] Amen. Roses a song They spare rain words And holy and young Read from the prophecy of Isaiah chapter 44 and 45, the 44th and 45th chapters of the prophecy of Isaiah.
[4:26] Yet now hear, O Jacob my servant, and Israel whom I have chosen. Thus saith the Lord that made thee, and formed thee from the womb, which will help thee.
[4:44] Fear not, O Jacob my servant, and thou Jeshurun whom I have chosen. For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground.
[5:01] I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring. And they shall spring up as among the grass, as willows by the watercourses.
[5:21] One shall say, I am the Lord's, and another shall call himself by the name of Jacob. And another shall subscribe with his hand unto the Lord, and surname himself by the name of Israel.
[5:45] Thus saith the Lord, the King of Israel, and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts. I am the first, and I am the last, and beside me there is no God.
[6:00] And who as I shall call and shall declare it, and set it in order for me since I appointed the ancient people. And the things that are coming, and shall come, let them show unto them.
[6:20] Fear not, neither be afraid. Have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? Ye are even my witnesses.
[6:32] Is there a God beside me? Yea, there is no God, I know not any. They that make a graven image are all of them vanity.
[6:46] And their delectable things shall not profit. And they are their own witnesses. They see not, nor know, that they may be ashamed.
[6:59] Who has formed a God, or molten a graven image that is profitable for nothing. Behold, all his fellows shall be ashamed.
[7:11] And the workmen, they are of men. Let them all be gathered together, let them stand up. Yet they shall fear, and they shall be ashamed together.
[7:26] The smith with the tongs, both worketh in the coals, and fashioneth it with hammers, and worketh it with the strength of his arms.
[7:38] Yea, he is hungry, and his strength faileth. He drinketh no water, and is faint. The carpenter stretches out his rule, he markers it out with a lion.
[7:52] He pitted it with planes, he markers it out with a compass. Maketh it after the figure of a man, according to the beauty of a man, that it may remain in the house.
[8:09] He heweth him down cedars, and taketh the cypress and the oak, which he strengthens for himself among the trees of the forest. He planteth an ash, and the rain doth nourish it.
[8:25] Then shall it be for a man to burn. For he will take thereof, and warm himself. Yea, he kindlet it, and baketh bread.
[8:39] Yea, he maketh a god, and worshippeth it. He maketh it a graven image, and falleth down thereto. He burneth part thereof in the fire.
[8:50] With part thereof he eateth flesh. He roasteth roast, and is satisfied. Yea, he warmeth himself. And saith, Aha, I am warm, I have seen the fire.
[9:03] And the residue thereof he maketh a god, even his graven image. He falleth down unto it, and worshippeth it. And prayeth unto it, and saith, Deliver me, for thou art my god.
[9:13] They have not known, nor understood. For he hath shut their eyes, that they cannot see, and their hearts, that they cannot understand.
[9:27] And none considereth in his heart neither is their knowledge or understanding to say, I have burned part of it in the fire. Also I have baked bread upon the coals thereof.
[9:40] I have roasted flesh and eaten it. Shall I make the residue thereof an abomination? Till I fall down to the stalk of a tree. He feedeth on ashes.
[9:53] A deceived heart has turned him aside, that he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, Is there not a lie in my right hand? Remember these, O Jacob and Israel.
[10:09] For thou art my servant. I have formed thee, thou art my servant, O Israel. Thou shalt not be forgotten of me.
[10:21] I have blotted out as a thick cloud thy transgressions, and as a cloud thy sins. Return unto me, for I have redeemed thee.
[10:36] Sing, O ye heavens, for the Lord hath done it. Shout, ye lower parts of the earth. Break forth into singing, ye mountains, O forest, and every tree therein.
[10:52] For the Lord hath redeemed Jacob, and glorified himself in Israel. Thus saith the Lord thy Redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb.
[11:10] I am the Lord that maketh all things, that stretches forth the heavens alone, that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself, that frustrateth the tokens of the liars, and maketh diviners mad, that turneth wise men backward, and maketh their knowledge foolish, that confirmeth the word of his servant, and performeth the counsel of his messengers, that saith to Jerusalem, thou shalt be inhabited, and to the cities of Judah ye shall be built.
[11:55] And I will raise up the decayed places thereof, that saith to the deep, be dry, and I will dry up thy rivers.
[12:07] That saith of Cyrus, he is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure, even saying to Jerusalem, thou shalt be built, and to the temple, thy foundation shall be laid.
[12:24] Thus saith the Lord to his anointing, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him, and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the tulip gates, and the gates shall not be shown.
[12:48] I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight, I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron, and I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the Lord, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.
[13:15] For Jacob, my servant's sake, and Israel mine elect, I have even called thee by thy name. I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me.
[13:31] I am the Lord, and there is none else. There is no God beside me. I have girded thee, even though thou hast not known me, that they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me.
[13:51] I am the Lord, and there is none else. I form the light, and create darkness. I make peace, and create evil.
[14:04] I, the Lord, do all these things. Drop down ye heavens from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness.
[14:16] Let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation. And let righteousness spring up together. I, the Lord, have created it.
[14:29] For unto him, that striveth with his maker, that the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that passioneth it, What makest thou, or thy work, he has no hand.
[14:46] For unto him, that saith unto his father, What begettest thou? or to the woman, what hast thou brought forth? Thus, saith the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, and his maker, Ask me of things to come, concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands, command ye me.
[15:09] I have created the earth, I have made the earth, and created man upon it. I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host, have I commanded.
[15:25] I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direct all his ways. He shall build my city, and he shall let go my captives, not for price nor reward, saith the Lord of hosts.
[15:41] Thus, saith the Lord, the labour of Egypt, and merchandise of Ethiopia, and of the Sabaeans, men of stature, shall come over unto thee, and they shall be thine.
[15:55] They shall come after thee. In chains, they shall come over. And they shall fall down unto thee, they shall make supplication unto thee, saying, Surely God is in thee, and there is none else.
[16:10] There is no God. Verily thou art a God, that hidest thyself, O God of Israel, the Saviour. They shall be ashamed, and also confounded, all of them, they shall go to confusion together, that are makers of idols.
[16:28] But, Israel shall be saved in the Lord, with an everlasting salvation. He shall not be ashamed, nor confounded, world without end.
[16:43] For thus saith the Lord, that created the heavens, God himself that, formed the earth, and made it. He has established it.
[16:55] He created it not in vain. He formed it to be inhabited. I am the Lord, and there is none else. I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth.
[17:12] I said not unto the seed of Jacob, seeking me in vain. I, the Lord, speak righteousness. I declare things that are right.
[17:23] I declare things that are right. Assemble yourselves, and come. Draw near together, ye that are escaped to the nations. They have no knowledge, that set up the wood of their grave image, and pray unto God, that cannot save them.
[17:41] Tell ye, and bring them near, yea, let them take counsel together. Who hath declared this from ancient time? Who hath told it from that time?
[17:52] Have not I the Lord? And there is no God else beside me. A just God and a Saviour.
[18:04] There is none beside me. Look unto me, and be ye saved. All the ends of the earth, for I am God. And there is none else.
[18:19] I have sworn by myself, the word is gone, out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return. That, unto me, every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.
[18:39] Surely, shall one say, In the Lord have I righteousness and strength. Even to him shall men come, and all that are incensed against him, shall be ashamed.
[18:58] In the Lord shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory. Dear Lord, help us to bow before thee.
[19:20] Thou knowest our need of thee. dear Lord, we need thy presence in the journey.
[19:32] We need thy grace and thy strength. Lord, we pray, thou wouldst grant it to us this night the sweet comfort of thy presence.
[19:51] And, dear Lord, thy grace in our hearts, that we may be as clay in the hands of the heavenly potter, that we may have that divine gift of faith in exercise, that we may know what it is to walk out the path which thy holy word speaks of.
[20:21] Blessed is the man that trusted in the Lord and whose hope the Lord is.
[20:32] Lord, we seek that sacred reality that we might know that faith anchored in thyself and know its fruit, the blessing of it, the peace of God which passes all understanding, that we might know thy strength flowing into our hearts.
[21:03] Grace and faith that we might be enabled to roll every burden upon thee and to be still and to know that thou art God.
[21:24] Lord, our hearts thou knowest of all of many a fear. For we have read in thy holy word this night the precious truths of thy prophecy.
[21:39] Hear ye not nor be afraid. I am God and there is none else. Lord, we believe in thy's pathway we have from time to time known thy presence, known thy strength, known thy comfort.
[22:03] But all we desire it again and again that thou would draw near to us strengthen our most holy faith.
[22:16] keep us from that distance from thyself. Lord, we desire nearness to thee.
[22:31] Thy dear servant Moses longed for thy presence. He said, if thy presence go not with us, carry us not up hence.
[22:43] And thou who didst give him that promise, my presence shall go with thee and I will give thee rest.
[22:55] O dear Lord, grant us faith to trust thee where we cannot trace thee. May we be enabled to look to thee at all times.
[23:06] as we come now into thy house, we have thy holy word before us, the ministry of thy word, the preaching of the gospel.
[23:19] Lord, we need the anointing of the spirit. We need thy blessing to rest upon thy word. We need grace to preach thy holy word of truth.
[23:35] And we need the spirit of truth to take of the things of Jesus and apply them. We need those crumbs to fall from the master's table.
[23:50] We need to be fed by that bread of heaven to know the strength of thy holy word. And Lord, we pray that we may be strengthened with all might in the inner man.
[24:08] Lord, we seek that blessed rest of faith. We long for it. The peace of God which passeth all understanding.
[24:22] The day which take us up in thy arms and carry us. Lead us forth by that right way that we might go to a city of habitation.
[24:36] Grant us grace to keep our eyes on Jesus fixed and there are hopes to stay. His goodness he will make to pass before us in the way.
[24:54] Lead us forth. Dear Lord, by thy right hand and may we be still and know that thou art God.
[25:08] We pray for this church and people, this candlestick of truth. Oh, may thy presence be known here.
[25:20] And Lord, as thy sent servants, stand up here from time to time to preach thy holy word of truth. We pray for fruit.
[25:34] Signs following the work of thy spirit to be manifestly carried on. Lord, we pray that thy holy word may drop as the rain and as still as the dew and that there may be a springing fall.
[25:58] We read in thy holy word first the blade, then the ear and then the full corn shall appear. We pray for the divine work of the spirit of truth in the churches, that heavenly movement, that divine workmanship which will be manifested in that great day of judgment to have been thy workmanship, that which will stand.
[26:39] Lord, look down and move and walk. We pray, dear Lord, for the power of the spirit to be sweetly manifested.
[26:53] We pray, Lord, for the outworkings of thy divine covenant ordered in all things and sure that thy holy word may go forth and have free course and be glorified.
[27:15] Lord, look down. We pray thee here in the midst. We seek that work of the spirit. It is a secret work.
[27:28] It is a quiet work. It is an effectual work. It is thy work. And Lord, thou dost use the foolishness of preaching.
[27:43] And thou hast ordained that as in the wisdom of God, man by wisdom should know not God, it has pleased thee by the foolishness of preaching to save them the belief.
[28:01] And all we pray, Lord, as I send servants come here from time to time, there may be a rich anointing resting upon the preaching, the foolishness of preaching.
[28:17] Lord, grant it and grant that the day may reveal it in all its blessedness and in its sacred fruits.
[28:30] Upon the young lives brought in here, those here tonight, and the families, Lord, we pray for them. Gracious God, they are in thy hands.
[28:46] Thou dost watch over them in the days of their unregeneracy. Thy dear children are known as thou didst tell thy servant Jeremiah before I formed thee in the womb I knew thee.
[29:04] Lord, we believe it is so that every one of thine left remnant. We pray for the young ones here tonight, each one of them.
[29:16] Those that attend here, Lord, remember them. O grant, gracious God, thy divine care, thy eternal and everlasting loving kindness, may it attend their footsteps.
[29:36] may they be kept in the days of their youth and be given grace to remember their creator in the days of their youth while the evil days come not and manifest them, Lord, we pray, in their day and generation as vessels of mercy afore prepared unto glory upon their loved ones and give them grace and wisdom to bring them up in that nurture and admonition of the Lord and grant to them that precious joy to see their seed manifested surnamed by the name of
[30:36] Israel brought forth as vessels of mercy afore prepared unto glory. O gracious God, leave us not to lose sight of the mercy, the favour, the blessing of the children brought out of nature's darkness into thy marvellous life.
[31:07] Lord, we pray for the churches. O that thou build them up. Keep our young people, we pray thee, from marrying into a godless world.
[31:20] O how we see Satan's devices in drawing our young people away from the sanctuaries of God, from the truth, from God-fearing parents, by godless marriage unions.
[31:37] Lord, we have seen so much of it. Lord, we pray for these young ones here, in that day they may be kept. Thou wouldst grant them the wisdom to seek godly partners in life.
[31:55] We seek, Lord, that thou wouldst look down and teach. Grant that blessed vision which thou didst speak of to thy dear servant Peter.
[32:08] Blessed thou didst save you, that are your eyes for they see. O open their blind eye, and stop their deaf ears, and grant they may know thy voice, the voice of him whom to know is life eternal.
[32:27] And we bear before thee this night the churches. O how we bear them before thee, Lord, the little hills of Zion where the candlestick of truth has been long maintained as here through the generations.
[32:44] Thou knowest, Lord, how over the years we have witnessed in this sanctuary of God one generation called home to glory, to whom we have felt a deep union and a love, and whose memory is precious.
[33:09] And Lord, we have lived to witness another generation raised up in their places. And Lord, we pray that thou would thus maintain thy truth in this village and this candlestick of truth.
[33:30] Upon our brother at the desk here and the burden and responsibility he carries, Lord, and his loved one in the church here, strengthen his hand in God, we pray thee, and uphold him and support him, and all grant him encouragement, helps by the way, thy presence known and found, sweet tokens, as he looks back over the generation of his beloved parents, the Lord, and the precious memory of that generation, that is now in glory, worshipping thee before thy throne, they marked the footsteps that he trod, his zeal inspired their breath, and following, their incarnate God possessed the promise for us.
[34:33] Dear Lord, we are comforted, even in this little sanctuary, with a great cloud of witnesses, whose dust lies in yonder graveyard, waiting that glorious morning of the resurrection, and their memory is precious, and, O Lord, thou hast said to us, seeing therefore he encompassed about, with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, his author and his finisher.
[35:25] O bless thy servants as they stand up in thy holy name at this time, look upon Zion, the city of thy solemnity, upon thy one church in the earth, and thy servants whom thou hast sent forth in thy holy name, for the government is upon thy shoulders, and thou dost rule and reign, and dear Lord, we pray for grace, to be enabled to follow thee, trusting in thyself, wash us now, and cleanse us, we pray thee, for all thy pure and holy eyes these evil in us, that sin which doth, dear Lord, so easily beset us, may we be enabled to wield the shield of faith, to resist, quench the fiery darts of the wicked one, and all may we know what it is, to find thee, as thy dear servant
[36:35] David did, in his conflict with Goliath, to be that same Jesus, yesterday, today, and forever, upon all in sickness, affliction, age, infirmity, sorrows, bereavement, temptation, Lord, remember thy living family, comfort, uphold, support, we pray thee, and look down, upon us, in the nation, in the fast, evil, and darkness, we come toward the end of another year, O gracious God, thou seest the constant flow of evil, the mighty floods of darkness, that are sweeping over our land, great inroads of the church of Rome, and the desires of our rulers to amalgamate us with the
[37:40] Catholic powers of Europe, and all we pray that thou would spare us, and, O Lord, we seek a mighty revival in this land, a mighty outpouring of thy spirit, that this land may once again be turned to thy word, thy truth, thy holy law, thy holy day, and thyself, O look down upon us in mercy, and pour out thy spirit, as in former days, and raise up God-fearing men, to preach thy holy word, who shall be sent by thee.
[38:29] Dear Lord, we pray for our Queen, the Prime Minister, his Cabinet, and our Parliament, that I would raise up God-fearing men in the affairs of the nation.
[38:41] Dear Lord, preserve to us our Protestant Reformed Constitution, and all look down upon us and have mercy upon us in wrath.
[38:56] Remember mercy. Now, Lord, what weight we pour our hope is in thee. Grant strength and quietness and confidence in our hearts, grace and wisdom, the anointing of thy spirit, which I lift to the live coal from thy heavenly altar, and fill our earthen vessel, and lead us into thy word of truth this night, and bless it.
[39:25] Use it in the hearts of the hearers. We ask for Jesus Christ's sake, and in his worthy name alone. Amen.
[39:36] Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen.

[45:05] To the Lord's dealings with them On account of their idolatry And his intention to send them into captivity It relates equally To the clear evidence That that captivity Was to be chastisement It was divine chastening of God Which had a purpose And would have an end It was to be 70 years captivity Before Israel And God would bring it to a conclusion And we see here prophesied long before It was brought to a conclusion The prophecy of Cyrus That he would be the means In the Lord's hand of that restoration And we have here
[46:07] In the context The Lord speaking to Cyrus And speaking of him And how he would use him As an instrument in his hands For his people This is the word of God to Cyrus We read of the divine purposes of God That it here prophetically That thus saith The Lord of Cyrus He is my shepherd And shall perform all my pleasure Even saying to Jerusalem Thou shalt be built And to the temple Thy foundation Shall be laid Then We go on To hear the Lord's words Regarding Cyrus Thus saith the Lord To his anointed To Cyrus Whose right hand I have hold To subdue nations before him And I will loose The loins of kings To open before him The two deep gates The gate shall not be shut And he then speaks
[47:08] Of his divine work Regarding Cyrus I go before thee That is Cyrus And so on And We have here The words of God His divine purposes His manifest will His almighty power And It regards Ancient Israel A type Of his church A type As the Israelites were A chosen people In a Godless world Surrounded with Paganism and heathen They were Manifest As the Children of God To whom God Revealed himself And we see in them In the ancient order Of the tabernacle Everything that Pointed To Christ All was

[81:28] They Shall Look Upon Him Whom They Pierced And They Shall Mourn Giving Us Every Indication That The Men Who Pierced Him Were Brought To Godly Sorrow And Repentance And Brought To Call Upon His Holy Name And To Know That Effect Or Call In The Heart That Sacred Drawing Influence To Christ And We See Here In This Beautiful Word The Lord's Dear People Know That Call That They Mayest Know That I The Lord Which Call The By Thy Name Am The God Of Israel In These Chapters Here There Is A Constant Repetition Of These Words I Am The Lord And There Is None Else The Question Tonight Is This Do We Know Him Have We Heard His Call Has
