[3:00] Amen. Amen.

[3:42] Amen. The words that I hope we may be favored to speak from this evening you'll find in the second epistle, the second chapter, the second epistle to the Thessalonians, and the 16th and 17th verses.

[4:10] The last two verses in the second chapter, the second epistle for the apostle to the Thessalonians. Now, our Lord Jesus Christ, himself and God, our Father, which hath loved us and hath given us everlasting conservation and good health through grace, comfort your hearts and establish you in every good work and work.

[4:48] Now, our Lord Jesus Christ, himself and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, hath given us everlasting consolation and good health through grace, comfort your hearts, establish you in every good work and work.

[5:19] How timely this word is, because it commences with the most up-to-date word, now.

[5:31] And is it not often with us we want the blessing now? Jacob, after that night of wrestling, he wanted a blessing at the time.

[5:49] The one that had wrestling with him says, let me go for the day breaking. I will not let me go, except thou bless me, and he blessed him there.

[6:02] And so, my friends, may this be the feeling of our hearts, as we waited for God, to send down upon us some gracious measure of his Holy Spirit, to rightly divide this word of truth.

[6:22] Because we need the Spirit so to do. Now. Now. Oh, what an unspeakable mercy it is that we are continually coming across this word, now.

[6:40] Especially in the epistles of the Hebrews, to which we referred to this afternoon. How the apostle there speaks that up-to-date word.

[6:52] That word, now. And surely here we have it. And we find that the very chapter itself commences with the same word.

[7:05] Now, he said, we will seek you brethren by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by a gathering together unto him. That's a very sweet word, isn't it not?

[7:17] A bit of a word to commence the service of the sanctuary with. Now, we will seek you brethren by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, as much as though the apostle would say, well now, he's promised to come.

[7:33] He said, and we're two or three of them together in my name. There am I in the midst. And what did he come for? But to bless it in you.

[7:45] And I'm sure that through the last 12 months or more, since we gathered on an anniversary occasion, I know we did come to you in the summer to remember the Lord's goodness towards you in granting you a pastor.

[8:04] But I'm thinking of the anniversary particularly, of course. And when we look back over the years, and here many years we've been favored to come, we know very well.

[8:15] We could be very old anyway if we live to come as many more. And sometimes we feel that each time we come, might give it up.

[8:26] And only the Lord knows that. But the great thing is this. Shall we decide? Can we decide? If we look back over the past occasions we've gathered, we can say, well, he blessed us there.

[8:41] He blessed us then. And so, now. Now. The coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. To gather together unto him.

[8:53] And surely, my friends, we don't want here gathered together to be to anyone else but to him. For unto him shall the gathering of the people be. And as we gather together to him, oh, what a wonderful thing.

[9:08] And he heavenly Shiloh. To come and worship him. In spirit and in truth. Oh, blessed is it. That all granted may be so.

[9:20] As we gather together from time to time in future days. And now. May this be our portion as we consider these biblical words.

[9:31] And especially the next word. Now. Our. Our. He was just said, now think. And be right.

[9:42] But it's now our. And here is the relationship. There is a blessed relationship. Between Christ and his people.

[9:54] The shepherd and the sheep. And the sheep can say concerning this good sheep. And this good shepherd.

[10:06] All they can say. Our. Our. And it's a great blessing when we can look up as the dear psalmist did. As he penned the 23rd psalm.

[10:17] And says. The Lord is my shepherd. And I shall not want. No. Our. Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord Jesus Christ.

[10:29] The Lord Jesus Christ. No man can truly say. That Jesus is the Lord. That Jesus is the Lord. And. That Jesus is the Lord. By the Holy Ghost.

[10:42] And. To this end. We sometimes. Pray. Do we not? Spirit of truth. Come down. Reveal the things of God. O make to us salvation.

[10:53] Now. And witness with the blood. No man can truly say. That Jesus is the Lord. Lest he'll take the bread away. And breathe a living world.

[11:05] Then only then we feel. Our interest in his blood. And cry with joy. Unspeakable. Now. O Lord my God. Now. Our Lord.

[11:17] Oh. What a verse he did think of that. And realize that he is our Lord. He is thy Lord. Worship thou him. We read. In that biblical psalm.

[11:28] Which sets before us. So much of his glory. In a very. Wonderful way. Causing the. Heart. Of the dear psalmist. To be warned. As he thought.

[11:39] Of the dear Lord Jesus Christ. That is in our text. And he could say. My heart. Is indicting a good matter. I speak of the things. That I have made. Touching the king.

[11:51] King Jesus. In. In. In. In. In. In. A way of. Persecution. And reproach. They put over the cross.

[12:03] This is. Jesus. The king of the Jews. But my friends. The Lord's people are. Glad to. Oh. That he's king. Although there was a time.

[12:16] In. Around. Regeneracy. When we were ready to say. We will not have this man. To reign over us. But. You don't say so. To die. Do you? You've got a different. Feeling.

[12:27] Toward this king. Than you had then. Then you say. Reign over me as king. Accomplish thy will. And powerfully bring thee forth. From all ill. To fall in.

[12:38] Before thee. And all thy love may. Ascribe thee the glory. To God of the land. Thou art fairer than the children of men. Grace is pointed to thy lips.

[12:50] Therefore. God hath blessed thee. Forever. And so on. Through that beautiful sound. And then you see. As I was saying just now.

[13:01] We turn. To the. Toward the end of it. And we. Have this. Beautiful word. So shall the king. Great desire thy beauty.

[13:12] For he is. Thy law. Now. Our law. Have you ever felt like Thomas.

[13:24] Who is not with the rest. When the Lord Jesus came. And. The others. So probably. They said. They. They've seen it all.

[13:36] But. Thomas. Wasn't there. When he came. And he said. Except. I should do this. That and the other. I will not. Permitting. But you know.

[13:47] When the Lord Jesus. Christ. Come again. Thomas was there. And he knew. What Thomas had said. He knew what Thomas was feeling. And he knew what Thomas needed.

[13:58] And he knows what you need. And he knows what I need. He said to Thomas. Reach ye the line. And. Thrust into my side. Thy finger. Be not faithless up beneath.

[14:10] And. But believe me. My Lord. God. And my God. Ah. There's a time. And seasons. When we know.

[14:21] What the blessing is. When I can say. The Lord is mine. When I can feel. His glory shine. I tread the earth. Beneath my feet.

[14:33] And all this world. Cause good. The Lord. The Lord. Want us more. Of such times. Because. We are. Feeling to be.

[14:43] Loosen. From the things of earth. By the very. Things that come. Our way. The many. Bereavements. And things. That we come into. That are not.

[14:55] Loosen. Our old. Our time. Things. And we say. More today. Than we've ever said before. Vanity. Of vanity. All his vanity. Said the preacher. And we know.

[15:06] Why the preacher said it. Because he felt it. He tried all manner of things. And when he. When he had all those things. All his heart could desire. He said. Ah. I said. Vanity of vanity.

[15:17] And so it is. With us friends. But oh. If. Christ. And heaven be mine. How sweet. The ascent. Hail divine. He is thy Lord.

[15:28] Then. Worship thou him. And we would desire. Even as we consider. These. Bittiful words. This evening. On this. Anniversary day. To feel something.

[15:39] Of this. Worship. We know. We can't do it. In his own strength. But we. Would be like. To see a woman. Who came to him. And she.

[15:51] Fell at his feet. And worshipped him. Saying. Lord. Help me. Who's worshipped. In that dream. Oh yes. There's worse. In that.

[16:03] I was writing. To a friend. Recently. Telling him. About the death. Of their. Like friend. Mr. Charman. That has occupied. This. Quote. A good many times. And we.

[16:15] Used to share. The services. Did we not. Before his. A picture. Well. You know. I was writing. To that friend. I said. Now. You. Now. Death. Will remember. Hearing him. Preach. That's.

[16:25] Being filled. From those words. Lord. Help me. And we. Many times. We've had to. Feel those words. So applicable to us.

[16:37] But you see. My friends. If you. Really. Feel your need. Of the Lord's help. That's. When you. Worship him. Because. You need him. To help you. To worship him.

[16:48] And as he. Gives you that. Felt. Need of him. Oh. There's worship in that. Well. Now. Our Lord.

[17:00] Jesus. Jesus. What a word. Yes. What a word. What a name.

[17:13] His name. Should be called. Wonderful. Counselor. The mighty God. The everlasting father. The prince of peace.

[17:25] Jesus. Oh. What a name. Is it. To you. And to me. Asointment. For one. His name.

[17:36] Asointment. For one. It is. Such a name. That. Is above every name. And at the name of Jesus. Every knee shall bow. And every tongue confess.

[17:48] Now. Our Lord. Jesus. They shall call his name. Jesus. For he shall save. His people. From their sins. Oh.

[18:01] My friends. What is the name of Jesus to you? Is it nothing to you? Or is it everything to you? Jesus.

[18:12] Jesus. We love. Thy charming name. This music. In area. And how sweet. The name of Jesus. Sounds. In a believer's ear.

[18:23] In my ear. In your ear. Soothes your sorrows. Heals your wounds. Drives away your fear. Ah. If he comes.

[18:34] And speaks to you. And to me. My friends. Oh. What a difference it makes. Doesn't it? Yeah. So he got to say one word. He's only got to call you. In your name.

[18:44] Like he did Mary. She didn't know him. Until he said Mary. And she did him. For a bow and eye. She said. And I'm sure she would have.

[18:56] Would have embraced him. But he said. That's me not. I ascend. Unto my father. And your father. Oh I do feel that's a wonderful way.

[19:08] The Lord Jesus Christ. Made himself known to Mary. As her Lord. Jesus. Jesus. I ascend. Unto my father.

[19:19] And your father. There's the relationship with him. There's the relationship. My father. And your father. He is the God and father. Of our Lord Jesus Christ.

[19:30] And in Christ. He is the father. Of us all. In that sense. Now. Our Lord Jesus Christ. The anointed one.

[19:43] The anointed one. Yes. Him has God anointed. Yes. Anointed him with the oil of joy.

[19:55] Anointed him. Among his brethren. Just. As we read of David. When. Samuel was sent. To the family of Jesse.

[20:06] To anoint one. To the king of Israel. Oh. A wonderful occasion. That one. So wonderful. To think too. That. That. The very one.

[20:18] That the Lord intended. Samuel to anoint. Hadn't been called in. That must have been. Very amazing. Samuel.

[20:28] Must have done. The Lord had said. Praying. He said. You go. To. Jesse's son. Jesse's son. And you anoint. One of his sons. To be king of Israel.

[20:40] He goes in. And all these sons. Passed before Samuel. And still. This is not he. This is not he. This is not he.

[20:51] And. Samuel was progressed. If he thought he would be. He. He would be ready to say. Well. Didn't the Lord really send him in? You know. Why come to the right times? Well.

[21:04] He says. Is this. Are these all thy sons? There's a hope. For Samuel here. When Jesse says. To remind.

[21:15] What? Think on this. He's with the sheep. Who didn't think he was worthwhile. Calling him in. He says.

[21:27] We can't sit down. Until you do call him in. And when he came in. Oh. What a wonderful time. That must have been for Samuel. What a wonderful moment.

[21:39] When the spirit says to Samuel. Arise. Anoint him. This is the. Christ. Was anointed. David was anointed.

[21:51] And. The Lord Jesus Christ. David's. Greatest son. Is the Christ. The Christ. We believe that thou art the Christ.

[22:03] Says Peter. The son of God. Blessed art thou. Simon. And by the woman. Blessed God. Is not revealed this unto you. But my father.

[22:13] Which is in heaven. Now. Our. Lord Jesus Christ. Himself. The Lord. The Lord himself.

[22:25] We sometimes say. Be with you all. And so. We want him to be with us. Now. Don't we. Through this service. What could I do.

[22:35] What could your pastor do. In this corporate. If we were. Only. In. Here. On our own. Oh. We want to know. That. Christ.

[22:46] Himself. Is with us. That he is speaking. Through us. And that he is making himself. Known. To us. Our.

[22:56] Lord. Jesus. Christ. Himself. Now. This same. Jesus. Who we never see.

[23:06] Taken up. Shall still come. In right manner. As you see him. Taken up. Yes. No he comes. He will come.

[23:17] And what a wonderful revelation. John had of him. Did he not. Oh. When he saw him. Himself. Oh. The glory. Oh. The difference.

[23:29] That dear John felt. Than what he did. When. Sitting at the table. With him. He. Laid upon his breast. At supper time. Yes. But. Now.

[23:39] He is. Glorified. He is. Risen. He is in heaven. And he. Appears to John. And. His appearance.

[23:51] Is so. Wonderful. So marvelous. That John. Tremble. In the midst. Of the seven. Candlesticks.

[24:01] One. Right. Under the son of. Man. Cloth. With the garment. Down to the foot. And girdled. About the pack. With the golden girdle. His head. And his. And his. Tears. Were. White as wool.

[24:12] As white as snow. And his eyes. Were. As a frame of fire. His feet. Knife. Under fine brass. As if they burned. In the furnace. And his voice.

[24:23] As a sound. Of many waters. And he had. In his right hand. Seven stars. And out of his mouth. Went a sharp. Two-edged sword. And his countenance.

[24:34] Was as a sun. And shining. In his strength. And when I saw him. I fled at his feet. Dead. But you see. How wonderful. The Lord.

[24:44] Tell it for example. How he made himself. No. Yes. Himself. No. No. But I saw him. I fled at his feet. As dead. And he laid his right hand.

[24:55] Upon me. Saying unto thee. Fear not. I am. The first. And the last. I am. He that liveth.

[25:06] And was dead. And behold. I am. The night. Free I am. I was speaking recently. From that word.

[25:16] I am. The resurrection of the night. Noticing how many times. In the gospel. According to John. He said. I am. The good shepherd.

[25:27] The way. The right of the world. And so on. Before Adam and was. I am. And now. Here to John. In this. Wonderful. Bitter.

[25:38] I am. The first. And the last. I am thee that liveth. And was dead. And behold. I am the night.

[25:48] Forevermore. Amen. And have the feet. Of the earth. And the steps. That's our mercy. What? That's our mercy. Satan hasn't got the key.

[26:00] Christ has got the key. And he's got the key. To open the door. To every one of his dear people. Blessings on his holy night. Well. Says.

[26:10] The apostle. Writing to the Thessalonians. Now. Our Lord Jesus Christ. Himself. And God. Even. Our father. The one.

[26:22] That he had. That he had. Told his disciples. To speak to. In prayer. When he. Christ. I. Our father. And here.

[26:33] Is the apostle. Following this up. In writing. To these. Thessalonians. And not only. To the church. That doesn't it. Like you. But to the church. Of darkness.

[26:44] To the church. Of God. Wherever. You gather together. In your local church. Yes. He. Speaks. My friends. And he.

[26:55] Makes himself known. As. Our. Our. Even.

[27:05] Our father. Which hath. Loved us. Which hath loved us. Oh. My friends. What a wonderful thing it is.

[27:16] To meditate upon. The love of God. Turn. In your mind. To the. Epistles. The epistles. Of John. And see.

[27:27] How beautifully. John. Speaks of him. In his love. And says. We love him. Because he first. Loved us.

[27:40] Behold. What manner of love. The father. Bestowed upon us. That we should be called. The son of God. Therefore. The world knows us not. Even as it knew him not.

[27:54] Which hath loved us. Oh. That we might. Have this love of God. Shed abroad in our hearts. By the holy house. Which is given unto us.

[28:06] And feel the. Power of it. Now that we might. Join with the. Poet. In that. Biblical hymn. When Jesus. With his mighty love. Visits my troubled breath.

[28:18] My doubts. Obside. My fears removed. And I'm completely. Blessed. I love the Lord. With mind and heart. His people.

[28:29] And his ways. Envy and lust. And pride depart. And all his works. I praise. Nothing but Jesus. I esteem. My soul. Is then sincere. And everything. That's dear to him.

[28:40] To me is also dear. Oh. To have this love. Shed abroad in our hearts. By the holy ground. If the Lord. Sheds this love abroad in our hearts.

[28:51] My friends. We shall love. Those. That need he loved. We shall love him. We shall love his ways. We shall love his house. We shall love his. Guide. We shall love his people.

[29:01] We shall have all that. It's his. Yes. Oh. What a wonderful thing. Love is. Love. The golden chain that binds.

[29:13] The happy souls above. These are the air of heaven that finds. His bosom. Glow is love. Hath loved us. Oh.

[29:25] How we pride. That this love. May indeed be shut abroad in our hearts. By the holy touch. And we may indeed be famous. And love him in return.

[29:36] Oh. Oh. Oh. To have more of this precious love. At love times. And here. In this love.

[29:49] We have also. The apostle. Showing us. The. Proof of it. And. What. Is. Wrapped up in it.

[29:59] So to speak. Hath given us. Everlasting. Consolation. Consolation. Everlasting. Consolation.

[30:09] Consolation. Consolation. Consolation. Consolation. Consolation. What. More do you want. Mother. Than everlasting. Consolation. Consolation. Great blessing. If you have consolation. But here is everlasting.

[30:20] Consolation. Consolation. That's an everlasting word. In the 103rd Psalm. We have recently looked at. How beautiful it is. The mercy of the Lord.

[30:32] Is from everlasting. To everlasting. Upon them. The theory. And his righteousness. Unto children. Children. And such as keep his covenant.

[30:43] For those who remember his commandments. To do them. Everlasting. Consolation. Consolation. What an unspeakable mercy. My friends. That here.

[30:55] The apostle. Or do what it was. To be able to minister to these. Church. In the church. A thousand and a hundred. And write to them. Concerning. Everlasting.

[31:05] Consolation. There was a time. When he didn't want it. There was a time. When he was stranger to it. There was a time. When he was seeking. To do all he could. A nice. The church.

[31:16] But oh. A different man. A whole different. Yeah. And what mercy it is. To have the difference. Yeah.

[31:26] We meet with some at times. Do we not. In the house of God. And we think of them. That. It was not. Not long ago. When. They were. Completely. Strangers to God.

[31:38] But now. Instead of being strangers. Too long. They're strangers. With God. What a difference. What a difference.

[31:50] Yes. Oh. That. That once. Was a stranger. To grace. And grace. And grace. To God. I knew. Not my danger. I thought. Not my love.

[32:01] Though. Transfading. Rapture. Christ. On the tree. He overstepped. Him. With nothing to me. But the other. To him. To him. To him. Has he not.

[32:12] Given to you. Some. Sweet. Measure. Of. Everlasting. Consolation. And then. It brings us. Back to our afternoon. Submit.

[32:24] Not only. Everlasting. Consolation. But. Good hope. Good hope. Oh yes. Good hope. How beautiful.

[32:36] Are those. Lines. That we. Quoted a part. Of the hymn of. And how beautiful it is. To be able to. Come into it. And to feel the.

[32:47] Blessings. And so. We're never glad. We are. That the Lord. Should. Lead his servants. To. Write such. Wonderful. Lines.

[32:58] And hymns. For us to sing. And we. Are we able to join in. And feel we can join. And be one in heart. Harmony there. There's harmony there.

[33:09] Good hope. Through grace. As thanks. Does that. The proof of Jesus. Righteousness. Advice. This given. Faith. I. Is the promise.

[33:19] Firm and sure. And hope. Expects forevermore. To dwell with Christ. In heaven. Good hope. Is born of sovereign grace. And lives in Jesus.

[33:30] Righteousness. With faith. And peace. And love. And faith. Believes. What faith believes. Good hope. Desires. And after perfect.

[33:40] This aspires. In the bright world of God. Oh my friends. What a wonderful thing it is. To have this. Good hope. Good hope.

[33:51] Through grace. Yes. Good hope. Through grace. The grace of the very Lord. Was exceeding abundant.

[34:02] With faith. And love. Oh beautiful. Oh wonderful. I think of all the poets. That we sing. Him we sing. One of the sweetest.

[34:14] Is Miss Field. We have sung. Whatever it is. Tonight. And one wonderful thing it is. To feel that the same spirit. Is in our hearts.

[34:25] Warming us. Yes. Warming our hearts. And giving us a feeling. A little touch. Of what those did. On the mayor's road.

[34:37] When they said. Did not our heart grow to us. While he taught with us. By the way. While he opened to us. The scriptures. Now. Our Lord Jesus Christ himself.

[34:49] And God. Even our father. Which hath loved us. And given us. Everlasting consolation. And good help through grace. Comfort your hearts.

[35:04] Breathe comfort where distress abounds. Make them all conscious clean. And heal with bound. From Jesus' world. To fastening. The sword of sin.

[35:15] Is that language too strong? Not a bit of it. Oh I'm glad we are. That the poets. Use that strong language. Like that hymn we sing sometimes.

[35:26] Well known to us. But every script of their case. Come ye sinners. Come ye sinners. Poor and messy. Weak and wounded. Sick and sore. Jesus.

[35:37] Jesus ready stands to thank you. For her mercy. Joy and power. He is able. He is willing. Doubt. No more.

[35:49] Comfort your hearts. Yes my friends. The dear apostle knew something. Of this comfort. And was able to.

[35:59] Comfort others. With the comfort. Wherewith he himself. Was comforted of God. For as he writes. To the church. At Corinth.

[36:12] He uses. A such language as this. I think it's the. Second epistle. To the Corinthians. He uses this. Beautiful language. Yes.

[36:23] Blessed be God. Even the father. Of our. Lord Jesus Christ. The father of verses. And the God of all comfort. Who comforted us.

[36:34] In all their tribulation. That we may be able. To comfort them. Which are in any trouble. By the comfort. Wherewith we ourselves.

[36:45] Are comforted of God. And as God comforts his servants. So those servants. Can walk out that precept.

[36:56] In the 40th of Isaiah. Comfort ye. Comfort ye. My people. Scepter Lord. Speak ye. Comfortly to Jerusalem. Cry unto her.

[37:08] That her worth. There is accomplished. That her iniquity is pardoned. That she have received. The Lord's hand. And double for all her sins. For as the sufferings. Of Christ. Abound in us.

[37:20] So her consolation. Here's this consolation again. And the apostle. Was very fond of that. Word consolation. Because he knew. What it was. To be glad of it.

[37:31] He knew what it was. To rejoice in it. And so. Everlasting. Conflation. In the text. And here. So her consolation.

[37:42] Also. Abandoned by Christ. And whether we be afflicted. It is for your consolation. And salvation. Which is effectual. In the enduring. Of the same sufferings.

[37:53] Which we also suffer. For whether we be comforted. It is for your consolation. And salvation. And her hope of you. Is steadfast. Knowing. That as you are partakers.

[38:05] Of the suffering. So shall you also. Of the consolation. That's a sweet thought. Is it not? Ah.

[38:17] Isn't one sided. Is it? There's two sides to it. There's a suffering. And there's a consolation. There's a losing. And there's a gaining. And you think of those.

[38:29] Who have left us. Those who have been taken from us. And what do we say? Why? Why do we say this? Why? We lose it all. They are a gain.

[38:41] Yes. Why are they a gain? We lose it all. We miss them day by day. There was every breath. There. And why there?

[38:51] Yes. Tears away. Consolation. My friends. The Lord comfort. You are. All the Lord's people.

[39:02] To a lesser or greater degree. Are walking today. In a very solemn path. And very trying to experience it. Many. Many things.

[39:14] Are just. As it was with the psalmist. Who said. My house is not so. Not so. We are. Oh. There is a crook here.

[39:25] And a crook there. And a crook somewhere else. But you know. My friends. The Lord has promised. The life. That cooking things. And a crook. And they have got praise and praise. And when he does it.

[39:37] He will get the honor of it. He will get the glory of it. He will be praised because of it. Comfort your hearts then. And establish you. You feel your need to be established.

[39:52] Oh yeah. We all need. To be established. We don't want to be. Among those. Who are tossed about. With every wind of doctrine.

[40:04] Kind of. Slight of men. No. No. We want to be. Stablished. We want to have that word. Made over to us. In the closing verse.

[40:16] Of the 15th. The first epistle. Of the 4th of the Corinthians. Wherefore. My beloved brethren. Be steadfast.

[40:27] Unmovable. Always abounding. In the work of the law. I often speak of Ruth. And think of Ruth. How that.

[40:38] She was so established. She was so settled. In her mind. That even. Naomi. Couldn't turn. Oprah had gone back.

[40:51] To her people. And to her gods. And Ruth. Claimed to her. And that's a very wonderful word. Is it not?

[41:01] When she saw. That she was. Sceptrously minded. To go with her. Oh. You might have a few more. People like that. In their churches today. Not many.

[42:31] Yeah. You'll read that. In the. Proverbs. Yeah. Apples of gold. In pictures of silver. Good words. And what.

[42:42] One of the things. Good words are. And where do good words come from? From the spirit. God himself.

[42:53] From he. Who is nothing but good. From he. Who could give nothing else but good. Every good gift. Says James. And every perfect gift.

[43:04] Is from above. And coming down. From the father of heights. With who is no very openess. Neither shadow of charity. Comfort your heart.

[43:15] And establish you. In every good word. And you'll find. This. Sacred bond. That lies open before me.

[43:27] Is full of good words. Over there. Full of good words. And as those words. Come to us. As God the Holy Spirit.

[43:38] Brings one another. Of his words to us. How. How. Establishing it is. How. Wonderful it is. As the apostle goes on.

[43:48] In the next. Chapter. And says. And surely. There are good words. When we're. Brought to join together. In prayer. Finally.

[43:59] And brethren. And pray for us. That the word of the Lord. May have free course. And be glorified. Even as it is with you. What a great blessing that is friends.

[44:11] That in spite of all the. Oppositions of the. Eminence. Of truth. We still have. The word of God. And we have listened.

[44:22] Recently. With pleasure. To the Lord's servant. Mr. Brown. As he's told us. How wonderfully. The Lord has appeared. And provided. The means.

[44:33] So that tons and tons. Of the scriptures. Have been sent. Throughout the world. In other words. So my friends.

[44:43] We've got a lot. To be mindful for. That that good word. Is still. Circulated. And still. That word. Reminds. As the rain.

[44:54] Comed down. And the snow. From heaven. And returneth not thither. But walketh the earth. Caused the things. That are sound in it. To bring forth and forth.

[45:05] So. Shall my word be. That goeth forth. Out of my mouth. It shall not returneth. The boy. It shall accomplish. That was a pleased. And prosper the things.

[45:16] Where to I send it. So we preachers. Can go on. With this good word. Oh yes. Good word. Oh yes. And if you go to the Lord.

[45:28] For your word. He'll give you a good word. May not always be. A word that you might expect. Or desire. But it's a good word.

[45:39] Oh yes. You see. There are some things. That are good. But not pleasant. And there are some things. That are pleasant. And not good.

[45:51] But there are some things. That are good and pleasant. And I feel that's a good word. Behold. How good. And how pleasant it is.

[46:02] For brethren to draw together. In unity. It is like the precious ointment. Upon the beard. Upon the head. Land down. The beard.

[46:13] Even Aaron's beard. And the skirts of his garment. But there. The Lord. Commanded the dressing. Even Christ forevermore. Every good word.

[46:24] And where there are good words. There will be. Good works. Yes. Good works.

[46:36] We don't trust in good works. We don't expect. To be saved by good works. But my friends. If we have. These blessed things.

[46:48] We've been trying to speak of. This evening. In this camp. Then there will be. A good work. Yes. A good work.

[47:00] And what a work it is. My friends. The work of redemption. The work. In the gospel. The work of the ministry.

[47:11] That work. That the Lord. Put. His servants. Hand to them. The plough. The gospel plough. And he says.

[47:22] Go ye. Into all the world. And preach the gospel. To every creature. He that believe it. And his baptize shall be saved. He that believe it's not.

[47:33] To be damned. No man. Having put his hand on the plough. And looking back. Is fit to the healer. The God. So.

[47:43] Often we feel to be. Somewhat guilty. Especially in these days. When we. Feel so much of air quality. There will be strength sometimes. For going forward.

[47:56] And yet. That's the only way. To go forward. Moses had to tell the people. Although the sea was in front. To go forward.

[48:08] And we have to tell our hearers. Still to go forward. To go. All hands. No arm for the back. No.

[48:20] Not usually going. To the right hand. Or to the left. Because. The worldliness. That shut them in. The only way for them to go. Forward. And as they went forward.

[48:33] So the Lord's blessing was. With them. And so as we. Go from this sanctuary this evening. And leave behind us. Another anniversary day.

[48:45] May we be favourite. To still go forward. Oh yes. To still go forward. To still be like those. Here then.

[49:54] May we have ears to hear. Hearts to understand. Comfort your heart. And establish you. In every good word.

[50:04] And work. Because. The Lord Jesus Christ. Does speak. Comfort. To the comfort left. He says. Does he not. Let not your heart. Be troubled.

[50:16] Do you believe in God. Believe also in me. In my father's house. Come and he mentioned. If it were not so. I would have told you.

[50:26] I go. And prepare a place for you. If I go. Prepare a place for you. I will come and hang. And receive unto myself.

[50:36] And where I am. There he may be offered. That would best be fulfilled. I believe. To my own. Dear father. In his.
