Tyler, John Sperling (1912-1989)
Was for fifty years the pastor at Zoar Chapel, The Dicker (Sussex). He passed away November 28th 1989 aged 77 years. His call to the ministry and the Pastorate in 1939 was somewhat unusual and is recorded in his obituary in the Gospel Standard magazine for December 1991 p372. He also had regular engagements at many other chapels within the Gospel Standard denomination and all the sermons on the Heritage Sermons website are from those other chapels. After his death two books
of daily portions were published containing brief extracts from his sermons. (“Handfuls of purpose” and “More Handfuls of Purpose”)
